So sorry about your nephew. I hope things go better than expected for him. My husband is a truck driver, so I know that there probably nothing your nephew could do. No matter how quickly you react when driving a semi, the truck, especially with a load, doesn't react quickly. It is nothing like driving a car. I wish more people were aware of that and used caution when pulling in front of trucks.

It doesn't sound like the lady in the car did this, just had an accident and the car probably couldn't move. In a case like that her lights probably weren't working and he couldn't see her. This sounds like a tragic accident that couldn't be helped.

I hope your nephew and the lady involved recover and all gets back to normal for everyone.

Stacy was one of my very best friends. I talked with her daily, encouraged her to get clean, and did everything in my power to help keep her on the straigh and narrow. In the end it was her family that drove her to do what she did this night. She was wasted and high, had a major argument with her pregnant teenager, and left home in a flurry of arguements and tears. Her family refuses to give me any information regarding her health, her outcome, her life. I am sure that is she is even alive or competant she doesn't even know I still care for her. Her mother was a controlling woman and Stacy bucked against that. Stacy was a beautiful person who just needed to be loved and encouraged. She worked hard for her girls and got very litte respect from them. I am terribly sorry about the man that hit her, it wasn't his fault. I hope to God he is ok and healing. To this day I pray over Stacy's soul and pray that if she is left to the care of her family she is treated well but I highly doubt that to be the case. What kind of family denies the only friend Stacy really had, any information? Not only was I more than willing to help care for her if she needed it, I was willing to do it for free. But her mother, in the end, succeeded in doing what she does best and controlling stacy's life. What a sad situation. I hope Stacy is still on this earth and that she is doing well. If not, the Heaven is the only place for her. She has been through enough pain and misery in her life that she deserves nothing better.
