Three years probation and a 600 dollar fine. For selling HARD, ADDICTIVE, DRUGS! Good thing she is a (white) woman. Poor (black...or any race) male is doing some time. Why do these women get off in the system??? What a joke of a message to send to young people.

They need to retrial all the people who are in jail for dealing narcotics, that is a poor excuse of a trial ending with probation and a small fine especially a elected official who we all trust in. they should be punished not let off like she was speeding or not wearing a seatbelt. Looks bad!!!!!

Catoosa has had a problem long before this. Just glad someone is finally doing something. Just because she is a woman doesn't mean much, but yes she does deserve to do time as do the others involved. Also, our mayor has called for a city audit that is going to cost the tax payers around $20,000. Now watch your speed and don't go drinking and driving by the casino!

Are you serious? Three years on probation and a $600 fine? Sure, a felony conviction can change SOME aspects of one's life, but that alone is not punishment.

Any "distributing" charge should carry time, I don't care if it was 6 pills or 600.

At least she lost her job and her pension so the rest of us aren't paying her salary. But seriously, no prison time? Ridiculous.

So you think some time in the big house should have been given for "distributing" 6 pills no stronger than common aspirin? You sound as ignorant as the idiots passing all those ludicrous bills over in the capitol right now.

"People deserve, you know, that their elected officials and their government employees are doing a good, honest job," said Sheriff Scott Walton, Rogers County.

Alright, Walton, I will keep this quota in mind when you are trying to explain your deputies, or your poor behavior. Therefore, just remember what you said, since those things you do always come back around to affect you later.

Besides, this appears to me to be the pot calling the kettle black. Oh and don't bother replying to this post, I never answer them...

Note: she is not an elected official. She was -a- court clerk deputy, not the court clerk.

Aside from that I hope she gets a bigger sentance, this should not happen. I'm embarassed for my profession. I promise, we all aren't like this.

Back in February, Matthews testified she only had distributed six narcotic pills, from her own prescription. Prosecutors said they had evidence she distributed at least 35 pills, many of them given to her by a friend.

Moments before an undercover informant was set to testify, Matthews admitted to selling the hydrocodone.

Funny how she was all "Not guilty!" right up until the informant was to testify. Even funnier that good old Paul is set to change his plea come Friday as well. I suppose that's what happened to "Innocent until proven guilty", Dawn.

He was never innocent. He just wasn't man enough to admit his guilt straight away. GO FIGURE!

I agree with you 100% but many can post their judgement and lie and facebook her and ask her to help them after slandering her name all over these pages (Okieblondie)....She was never arrested, never indicted, and is still trying to cope with the press for her name being the one slandered...Why????She is one tough broad I tell you...One tough broad
