Didn't your mother ever teach you that "everyone else is doing it" isn't a good reason for engaging in destructive behavior?

You couldn't create a social system out of people like you, you'd have all parasites and no hosts.
You guys are probably major players in the economic and political systems of our day. What do you do, sell office supplies?
Speed limits used to be set at the speed where 85% of drivers drove at. This is no longer the case. IE the speed linits are too low. In fact the interstate highway sysmtem used to have teh requirement that driving under 40 MPH could get you a ticket.

Lane changes, distracted by cell phones cause a many more serious accidents than speeding in a straight line.

So if speed kills why not make the speed limits of the beltways 15 MPH?

The author of this article and some of the posters here are obviously nothing more than control freaks.

The Judges no full well that if they started handing out the full fimes for everyone speeding that would lead to defense lawyers being present in traffic court. Resulting in even lower traffic fines and a lot of clogged up courts.

Not to mention that nearly everyone is guilty of speeding at one time or another. We are all criminals in the eyes of our government. In fact it is now impossible to go through life in the USA without being in violation of one law or another.

The "rule of law" is becoming a joke.
