Ticketmaster has known about this for years. It wouldn't surprise me if they scalp their own tickets. They're a monopoly.

This isn't anything new......
Have you ever tried to get Raven's tickets. Sold out is 5 minutes my butt. It is a shame you can't even afford to take your son to a Ravens game every now and then. Paid $300 for two seat three years ago for wife's Bday present. Between brokers and business' the average person cant even go to games. Some should be held for in person buying the week of the game or something

I have the exact same experince as the article. It would be nice if Disney added some shows.

I dont know anyone that was able to get tickets, dozens of parents and not one was able to actually purchase a ticket and they did not know anyone that was able to get tickets from ticker master. So I believe that the brokers are purchasing most of them for resale. Myself, and lots of other parents are hoping that prices will drop the closer we get to the actual date.

I too paid the money to join Hannah Montana fan club, and honestly sorry I did. Not that I don't enjoy the wonderfully talented teen, but it's really a little too old for my granddaughter. She would have loved to go to the concert, knows all the words to all the songs, but the website is a little much. Now I'm out $30+ and no tickets either. Quite disappointed at the scalpers. Wished tickemaster could have only allowed the Del-Mar-Va area to only purchase at least for the first 24 hours, might have had a chance. I'm taking my granddaughter to see High School Musical 2 Ice Tour, I'm sure she'll enjoy it too.

scalping is still scalping and the laws should be enforced for ticket brokers which buy up tickets to inflate their value. All they need is one rich sucker to pay an outrageous price too cover costs and two to make their profit then sell the rest or not . The ticket brokers should not be allowed any more than a 5 or ten dollar mark up for thier time. Cutting into phone should be a federal offence.

Yes, I am a frustrated parent as well. I'm a single mom trying to do the best I can to fullfill my child's wishes but I refuse to pay outrageous prices for this concert. My daughter first starting watching Hannah Montana on the Disney channel when her grandmother was in the hospital this summer for 65 days (my daughter age 10 only left her side to go home and get her bath then we were back up there). Our local cable company recently put the Disney channel in our area and after school that's the first thing that gets turned on. I was so excited to hear there would be concerts a few hours from our home town, I saw no problem surprising my daughter....after all I took her older sister to see "Billy Ray Cyrus" when she was only three. It breaks my Ackey Breaky Heart (pardon the pun) to know that I cannot give this to my child because of how all the ticket sells are being handled.

Yes, many of us paid the $30. The concerts were sold out 10 minutes after presale, yet the disney / Hannah Montana website allowed us to think we could still get tickets by not updating their website... Those funds should be refunded. I requested that on the Hannah Montana website, however my request was never responded to. That was 3 weeks ago.

And TicketMAster will let you buy tickets from them for say 56 dollars and then relist them on their site for whatever you want to charge. So they are condoning it.WTF?

I too paid the $30.00 with the hopes of the fan club members being treated with a little loyalty also. Tried the pre-sale - no go; tried the day of sale - no go; had friends who were in line (5 to 6 people back)- no go. Too bad kids have to have idols destroy their dreams so early. Best part, complained to the consumer protection/complaints department in Maryland and have had no response from that either. Didn't think to ask for a refund of MileyWorld money, that's not a bad idea - just wait until they want to renew that membership.

Scalpers advertise their "services" on Ticketmaster's website. It's all rigged.

Like my Dad once said, "Hannah Montana is not a utility, you can live without seeing her".
