BALTIMORE, MARLAND April 1, 2011 Even though there is no air, no wind, and no water on the moon, that is not a major problem for Erickson Living in building the first lunar continuing care retirement community. In a historic decision today, the worlds largest developer and operator of continuing care retirement communities in the United States is expanding its portfolio of senior housing options to new heights with the planned construction of Apollo Village.
According to leading space entrepreneurs, Erickson Livings decision has been made possible based on a new generation of powerful rocket boosters that will help make travel to the Moon possible in days. In addition, Erickson Living plans to offer free relocation and launch pad services for those who decide to live at Apollo Village in the next month.
The pioneer and industry leader in senior housing is now set to not only boost space travel, but also make their carefree retirement lifestyle what it truly is...Out of this World, said a Space Tourism Society official.
Construction is expected to start in September 2011.
