Robberies rattle Danville taxi company

Danville's Mr. Taxi will likely add safety features to its cabs following a dangerous October that left one driver seriously injured and the rest of them seriously rattled.

See in Texas there is an open carry law. People always have guns on them. Not sure why they do not in Illinois.

Gas stations are not covered in bullet proof glass either. The reason is there are guns behing the counters.

If someone comes in to rob the place they never know if the gun behind the counter is bigger or not.

Why is it so different in Illinois? Just curious.

1 of my families long time friends drives a taxi n danville & not 2 long ago she was robbed at knife point & not long before that she was robbed at gun point! i 2 believe that drivers should have some form of protection! i mean come on... what r they supposed 2 do... FIGHT them?!? NOT! they give up the cash & hope like hell that they got a good enough look at the robbers face so they can give a description 2 the police!

I don't have a criminal history! the reason I lost everything i lost was to try to give to others. Plain and simple. I did without to make sure others had just basics.
My husband knows the truth and so do the people that were helped. other than that I don't care what others think.

Isn't it odd that since we left Danville there have been no popped tires, no break ins, and no cut cords. the odd thing is I never saw one black person do these crimes. Nope it was white people with hate inside them that commited these crimes. You know I still do get a few bad check notices from time to time. The ones that one of the posters here wrote after breaking into my home and taking the check book.I wish you would at least tell me how many you wrote so that I can hve the money set aside. At the same time they cut my computer cord, phone cords, and a few other cords.They did this more than 3-4 times. Can you believe it they even stole a child's piggy bank. How low can you go?
However moving hasn't stopped prank phone calls and other things wink wink! You know who you are!

people do not understand that this person emails me these links. pretends to be a friends for a short time and even comes to fight the people here for a short time then they always turn. It always ends with them sending a picture with a huge smile on their face.
Guess I am silly for falling for it. But they always make it seem like that have changed. I always end up feeling guilty because of a few things. But no more! I don't care what they think no more. In fact after I leave here I am going to try to forget who they are for good this time. It was also due to allowing family members to take advantage of us over and over. We allowed all this because we actually cared for the people. I guess we hoped that one day they would care as well.
It was also due to allowing family member after family member move in with us, and try to take care of them. Well and many non family members too. But they might as well be related.

Sorry you got robbed. I got robbed too while in danville. I got robbed by a couple of white girls.

They broke in an stole my check book and have been writing beck checks on it for years.

I wish they would tell me how many they wrote to it won't be a suprise when i get another call.

Plus I put power in my name for other people and they refuse to pay the bill.

Then I allowed people to move in and they stole and lied..

All of these people were white not black. In fact the only one that was kind out of the bunch was a black man.

Guess I just never had bad experiences with black people. My experiences was all with white men and or women.

It was black people what helped my family when we were stranded. The white people that I knew just went on and never even stopped.

The people who hurt my family were gay! It took me years to trust gay people. It wasn't until I became best friends with a gay man and listened to him day and night that I was able to see gay people as nice people.

Maybe that is what is happening here. Maybe some people have been done over by a certain group of people and are painting them all bad.

Hope you get all your stuff back or more.. Sorry for your loss and hope that you find compassion for the race again someday. Like I found peace with the people who tried to destroy my life.
