Dating a police officer

Do you think it is unprofessional to call a police officer if they have showed interest at one point and you are filing for divorce.? I do not have a problem asking him to go on a date because I know Gus are very intimidated by me because they often think I have other men in my life. But, this cop pulled me over just to say I was good looking and I was not about to get his career in jeapordy. How should I approach this? I really think there is a good chance we could work something out but I am totally unable to clearly see an appropriate approach tp the situation. Any advice please I have his last name if I just asked him to call me back could I talk to him about it then. I think either that or hope that I can talk to one of the local cops and have them tell him. I'm pretty sure hell call me back either way.

honey, if he pulled you over just to tell you you are "good looking", then hes probably married, a dawg, or both! Most LE guys are. They are all "runners", and they can be because there are a lot of "cop groupies" out there. Girls, and women (a lot of divorcees) that think the cops are some ind of Super Hero - Sexy, Brave, & Righteous. The fact is, that they put their pants on one leg at a time. Just like the rest of us, and many of them have domestic problems, and suffer from alcoholism. If I were you, I'd forget about that dude. He obviously was using his "LE status" to attract you. Probably hoping you are a "groupie", and thinking how nice it would be to date a cop. Don't be naive. On the other hand, if you feel like there was a real connection, and he wasn't just using his LE position to "hook it up", then go for it. But, I also recommend not dating ANYONE seriously for at least a year after a divorce. Good Luck!

p.s cops ALWAYS flirt anyway. Especially the young ones. they know chicks dig the badge and gun!

Thanks I think your right. Both of you and I really want to be happy but getting thru school is much more important. I just want to be happy and think I did the right thing by not really giving him a clue I was interested. I mean this was before I was engaged I met him. I was only saying things anout my man to him because im just a good person. He was the officer called to my house after it got burglarized. Then he pulled me over the next week or two. But, I still wonder why guys just say your hot I think it was a little rude . If he had any respect for me he would have asked me on a date. If I was anything worth it to him. But, Ive had regrets and am trying to clear my mind. I just know what I want and I want different things next time around and sure know I won't settle till I get it all. I guess cops aren't always the best people. They might seem like it but I'm not very trustful of anyone anymore . I rather just complete my own goals rather than worrying about anyone at this point. hey jessica, Yes! most definetly focus on school. 6ou have plenty of time to meet the right guy. hes out there, and you two will find each other when the time is right. you've gained wisdom now, and you may not know exactly what you want in a man. but, im sure you know what you DONT want. the older you get, the more beautiful, and wise you get. you wont waste the kind of time a young, unsure, and lack of confidence kind of girl would on a guy that doesnt meet your standards anymore. when you finish school, and have a good career, you will be exposed to other like minded, and educated men....QUALITY men. so, good luck, and know that you can do ANYTHING you put your mind and will tondo. make yourself a better person, and the world a better place!
