IN THE BURBS Has talent, will draw for $5

There are 9 comments on the The Morning Call story from Jul 22, 2009, titled IN THE BURBS Has talent, will draw for $5. In it, The Morning Call reports that:

Tamra Weiseman isn't the lemonade-stand type. She's awfully shy, for one thing, so hawking 25-cent drinks from a curbside kiosk would be a terrible fit for her personality.

I don't know if the print version of MCall has it, but don't you think a PICTURE of her work placed in the newspaper may have helped her cause?

You can see some of the art work on the table. The print version also has this exact ad but not in color. Dan has the contact info if you need to get in touch with myself(her mom) to see any more art work she has. :)

How did I know someone would be posting this kind of stuff, she is doing something for animals not against them and our animals are completely happy here thank you, but nobody needs to be bashing a 12 year old.

And by the way this ball python was someones pet before it came to us, should we have let it go in the wild? And get into trouble?or better yet let it die because it has always been fed and never had to get its own food? Why don't you enlighten us a little bit? I guess you will always have people criticizing something good, get a life.

Hey Tamra you have a great talent and have a good head on your shoulders for a person your age. Thank you for doing something you like to do for those who can not help themselves. How creative.

And keep that zoo of yours going too...despite those on here with nothing to contribute. All domesticated animals need a home. Man domesticated them and we must care for them since we took away their capability to be out in the wild.

I have a knack for writing animal poems. Maybe you can draw some pictures to go along with them and we could put them into a booklet like form for you to sell.

The article did not say what section of craigslist that you advertised in. Was it the services section?

It's a rare feat for a young artist to realize their signature specialty, but you are no ordinary artist. Your originality and unselfish nature is what sets you apart. I am most impressed by the support of your brother (when I was 12, my brothers wouldn't give me the time of day)! You're lucky to have such a wonderful and supportive family! Good luck to you in all your future endeavours!
