Where did he graduate from law school? PA needs to rid itself of this magistrate system where judges do not even have law degrees.

Why? The system has served us well. The level of the cases doesn't warrant a law degree. Why complicate this level? Certainly it's not a job for just anyone. I'm not saying that at all.

The article mentioned Dean Benner as running for the same MJ spot. Why no bio printed for him, as with the other two? As always, fairness in the MC's articles or are they picking and choosing again. As for the law degree......it's not needed at this level. A criminal justice degree and/or experience in the field is probably better suited.

That is my point. A criminal justice degree or a short-course for district magistrate is not better suited. Critical issues of law occur at a preliminary hearing and it is better suited that all arraignments and preliminary hearings happen at county court level with 24 hour court system with law school graduate judges.

Too much abuse, poor decisions of law happen at Magisterial District Judge level.

Hell these guys don't even need High School diplomas or College Degrees. Just four weeks in Lancaster.

What a joke and they demand to be called 'Judge'.
