I'm in the wedding business, and when someone tries to get a discount by telling me that working at their wedding will be "good exposure", I reply: "Lady, people die from exposure".

You save money by getting married at the J.O.P. and having a reception at a firehall.

I wonder if she will have sponsors at her funeral as well to help cut costs, that would be exciting.

If you can't afford it, don't do it...

I hope they work as hard on the marriage as they appear to be working on the wedding.

Wouldn't recognizing and living within your means as a couple seem to be a good start to a healthy and happy marriage?

This is a very low class way of "saving" money.

People who attend the wedding will probably not say anything, but they will be thinking it.

I think that this is a great way to try to trim your budget as long as it done discreetly and tastefully.

I feel that when you throw a wedding you should try to make it as nice of an event as possible for your guests. If this is now making it possible for the couple to provide a better meal and a open open bar, then good for them.
Don't listen to all the negative comments, maybe they served subway at their weddings (which, by the way, I have been served at a wedding w/ no booze after having driven in LA traffic for 2 hours and written a $100. check to the happy couple talk about cheap!)

It is tasteless and tacky to have "sponsors" at a wedding. Your guests aren't there to be advertised to - they are there to share in your happiness and special moment. Tacky, tacky, tacky

As a wedding vendor, I can say that the only thing that the sponsors will get from these free or discounted services is more cheap people asking them for free and discounted services.

Hey, remember Star Jones and her "sponsored wedding"?. It cost her a very well paying job on TV and eventually she got divorced!! Wow, did she ever get a bargain!!

Lol! In this society today? Today, everyone is about self-gratification. People don't know how to SAVE for anything anymore. Most people have the attitude that they deserve it NOW.

Living within your means as a couple has sadly disappeared to charge it now, I deserve it now, I don't care if I can't afford it I want it NOW... These people should do some homework and realize that a lot of divorces are caused by stress over financial matters in a marriage.

Hopefully someday society will wake up and realize that what you said (living within your means) is the ONLY way to live life.

I think this couple should pimp the bride out for a couple nights and let the folks get in on the action. Charge $100 per jump. It won't be prostitution it will be sponsorship. I'm sure people would like to leave their LOADO (not logo) on the bride.
