This story really just blows my mind. And reaffirms my decision not to go to church.

To "wow", don't confuse this travesty with love of God. I am sorry you do not go to church but in light of this, I regret to say that I understand. Trust me, there are churches and religions out there that are not evil. There are priests and ministers who are everything a believer would want them to be and not just what you read about in the paper. Newspapers sell bad news and report on bad people. It is unfair to judge all religion based on the bad apples since there are so many doing good work for God and their fellow man. These people at Salem will be judged. Maybe not in our court of law, but by God.

I've known this woman since high school. She was, and evidently still is, obnoxious ... rude ... arrogant ... big-mouthed ... brash ... egotistical and a poor excuse for a human being. Her actions are unacceptable as a representative of a religious group. What does she think she will accomplish by acting like a "big baby"? I pray to God someone attempted to explain this outragious behavior to the children that were present for her ignorant behavior! She also enjoyed the "stage of life" and never accepted the fact that her opinions, thoughts or actions would ever be questioned! "Watch me!" "Hear me!" Talk about a diva! My advise to Mrs. Darcy is ... GROW UP! Take responsibility for your distasteful behavior in the house of God! You, Mrs. Darcy, will have to explain your actions when your days on earth have ended. Personally, I feel you have no justification of your behavior, words or actions you have taken in your lifetime. I cannot wait to read "your side of the story"???

How someone was in high school is not how someone may be in later life. I have known Pastor Darcy since she came to Salem and was married by her. I would still be there except for a transfer 20 years ago. While I feel the pain of the current Salem members, Pastor Darcy also has many supporters, and we are two of them. For all involved this is a sad situation and I pray it's final conclusion is near and exceptable for all. Otherwise a total recovery may never occur or take years and everyone involved will lose.

Darcy's side of the story will be that she is a victim. That's been her excuse for anything that's gone wrong, either by her own actions or those of her family. I've heard it from her for years. Bill White will probably buy into the whole "poor me" act because she's good at it, especially when she starts to throw in terms and themes from the Bible. Watch her in action.

Just another reason why we should have nothing to do with "Bible Pushers". They are as dangerous and destructive as drug pushers.

Two sides to every story. Do you know that she has stole and almost sent this church into bankruptcy? This woman is not in anyway shape or form preaching the word of god. She is a lying, manipulative, coniving person. Her whole family is. One of them is always in the paper about some corrupt behavior. Things have changed since you have been around trust me. This woman is very dangerous. Thanks to District Attorney Jim Martin for finally stepping in and allowing this congregation to worship in peace.

The people at Salem are not the ones who will be judged it is her. This woman is extremely corrupt and no good. Congratulations to Salem and a huge thanks to District Attorney Jim Martin who has seen what this woman and her family is and will allow this congregation to worship in peace.

When people use the Bible as a weapon it is complete abuse and totally against the intention of the writers and characters in the Bible. People need to be able to "just say no" to the Bible so they can rise above their fear of it and read it for what it is.

They did prove it and she confessed. That's why she was defrocked. It was very generous of the congregation to not press charges against her at the time and to allow her to stay on as pastor even though she had lost her standing in the UCC. People and situations change; now they want her to leave as she should have when she was caught and fired by the Penn Northeast Conference. Seems Darcy has forgotten the congregation's forgiveness, but where else can she go? No other church will have her.

Interesting comment, LHS.
Bill, do we now have to wait till Saturday to find out Darcy's reason for her outlandish behavior in church?
I am happy to hear that there is finally a court order to keep her away from this church and the church members.
The way things were going at this church, I truly thought that she was going to melt-down and lash out with violence.
I do not understand why the church members would subject their children to this woman's aggressive and unpredictable behavior.
Just the fact that she assaulted a police officer would lead me to believe that she thinks that she is above the law or has a major rage issue.

Darcy has completely lost sight of a pastor's purpose in a church.

Rather than ministering to the needs of the church members, she apparently saw the pulpit as a platform for her own ego. It became "all about Darcy" rather than "all about God".

My sympathy to interim Pastor Edgar Roosa - who had to endure her boorish behavior.

R U nutz, which elder - none of the Elders on the current Consistory come from wealthy families. However, we can't forget Darcy's favorite Mr. Schlicher, whom she was very cozy with when he was president of Consistory and was probably one of those who covered up what happened in 1992, now there was money.

I have also been afraid of what she will do next. I have a young child and I have been afraid to expose her to Rev. Darcy's outlandish behavior. I am hoping she will finally go away so everyone can move on.

The way things were going at this church, I truly thought that she was going to melt-down and lash out with violence.
