Something needs to be done about the PLCB. They are the criminals.

My former band played at the Blue Monkey on numerous occasions, and it is a great establishment. Responsible ownership, and well run.

This is NOT a nuisance bar.

Ridiculous!

I guess the Sands will loose its permit at the rate it's going after 2 weeks. "Right" Better look around PLCB, there are a lot places that need to be more scrutinized than the Blue Monkey. Start with the Alliance Fire Hall in Northampton then check the rest of the social clubs.

Good. Maybe my husband will stop trying to pick up under age girls and stay home with the family now!

This is a hard one to decide. I've been there, and for the most part it is a great place...I have gone to wedding receptions there. However, I do think it draws a younger crowd. I don't know of the fighting, or underage drinking, but if that does exist, and compiled with loud music, and being in a residential neighborhood, I guess it should be up for revue.

I've been there on many occasions over the past 5 years and never saw any issues. Under age drinking is a two way street, but the bar does have the responsibility to thoroughly check IDs. Perhaps, just perhaps, there are more republicans on the PLCB and this is simply an attempt to embarrass the Obama administration in some small way. Any idea of the political makeup of that board?

As a supporter of both the Obama and Rendell administrations, I trust what their governments do. There are reasons here that we do not know about and only the LCB does. Any appeal will be fruitless. The Government does know what is best. We voted for change in this country. Remember, even Colin Powell believes that we need more government in our lives and that people want it. Shut down the Monkey I say!

Just as in case of Trinkle's, I think it comes down to a behind the scences issues that some developer needs a licquor licensce and this is how the game is now being played out via politicians and PLCB.

Something smells and Teddy Zeller is correct.

wow that's sad - maybe you should go out with him once in awhile - marriage is a two way street - and I'm sure the blue monkey has nothing to do with the demise of your marriage.

WOW, You actually scare the hell out of me. We need the government to do the jobs it has right now, not more incompetence with inconsistency.

I guess you think everything the government does is correct - grow up - wise up - they make lots of mistakes, just as everyone does. And closing the blue monkey is a mistake. It's a fun place and it's a shame to see a thriving business denied it's chance to continue.

I support monkeys, so keep the bar open!

And, what is the PLCB doing commenting about live music at the bar??? This really is like a footloose episode.

The only people benefitted by the PLCB are the folks IN the PLCB. I would not be at all surprised to hear that they're all republicans.
