This is Gods house, EVERYONE should be welcome, not just the ones you pick and choose. You are right this is a social hall and and a place for gossip and hatred, this is not a church. Shame Shame on you NON-christians, Christians represent love not hate, and you give church a bad taste in everyones mouths.
You should talk about being Christian.
You are no better than want you accuse them of, calling names and making accousations like you are directly involved.

I did not say I am a member at another church because I have not found another place of worship where I felt as welcomed as I did at salem.
The Sunday when the church there was a baptism scheduled which the congregation of Salem was aware. I believe this was the second time a baptism was interupted due to members of the church trying to prevent it. How bout the Bible Camp that got sabotaged due to those same members. I would love to hear what exactly she does to disrupt services every Sunday. Saying a prayer after the sermon is finished hardly seems like disrupting. As far as I remember a church should welcome all into the house of the Lord, for we all are sinners who need to repent. What right does any human have to choose who should be allowed into the church?

She is no longer the pastor at Salem. Why does she continue to go there and harass the majority of the congregation? If she wants to do
baptisms she should do them elsewhere. She doesn't own the church.
If you want to know what she does to disrupt the service, then I suggest you go there, and see for yourself. You might be surprised.

Oh I never said I was a Christian, don't put those words in my mouth and associate me with the rude and nasty behavior of the social hall that you call a church. I was raised much better than that. Nor did I call any names, saying someone is NON christian is just that, if that offends you maybe you need to do some deep soul searching and reading of the bible so you can see what being a Christian is about. Making accuasations? People can directly see involved or not, that this is not true Christian behavior. Everyone should know a Christian or not, to spread love and peace not hatred...especially in the house of the Lord. Now, thats just common sense!

Honestly, I'm glad to hear you are not a Christian. But for someone who is not a Christian, you certainly see yourself as an expert on the subject. One thing puzzles me though, if you are not a Christian, why are you so concerned with a Christian Church?

What she does - are you kidding - this week was a joke - she comes in 1/2 hour early talks to Pastor Ed (what a sweet man), he doesn't answer her. Service starts so what does she do, she puts her robe on and goes to take over the pulpit. Pastor Ed (72 years old mind you) stood up in the pulpit, then she tried to sit behind him and one other other members sat down - it looked like freaking musical chairs, which she lost but sat there with one hip on the chair - her face schmoosh up against the wall. When the service started she stood up right behind Pastor Ed - right up against him and started saying the opening with him. What is she thinking. How would you like someone to do that to you. She tried to speak once - but the whole congregation- not just one or two people shouted No. Poor Pastor Ed stood for the whole service so that she would not get into the pulpit, the choir did a Cantata that day.

Is this really the behavior of a sane individual - I don't think so - and no one sabotaged VBS - the material was bought with Christian Ed money, if Christian Ed was not going to do VBS - she was - well they had the right to return it. Besides, they had ordered enough material for their usual turn out - when kids find out that it is Darcy doing it - they don't come.

Also - why do a baptism at Salem - she is not the minister, thusly, the child will not become a member of Salem if she baptized them there or anywhere else. She is not a recognized UCC Pastor so therefore the child will not be baptized into the UCC church as a whole. The most she can be is an independent minister, and for that she does not need to baptize in our sanctuary.

What is she even trying to prove, she has no standing, she has no church, she needs to get over herself and move on.

And any parent of a child they want to be baptize by her needs to realize that the child will not be a member of salem, no matter is she baptized them in the sanctuary or not. And the parents of the child that was baptized there when she broke in need to realize that to.

Just to clarify, I was at bible camp, the one that Rev Darcy and "her followers" as you call them paid out of their own pocket to have. There were about a dozen or so kids there. Kids look forward to that in the summer, why punish the children? Like the baptisms, why punish those children and their families? Baptism is about pledging to raise your child by the Lord's word, not to the church. I am not saying she is right or that I think she has done no wrong. I am saying that some of the acts of the ones pointing fingers are vengeful and hurtful to other members of the congregation. It is one thing to say she has done wrong and to try to keep her out of "your" church, but it is another to be rude and mean to other members and to push them out of the church as well just because they don't agree with "your" point of view.

Just because you are a member of the church does not mean you own it. No one "owns" a church. It is the house of our Lord. I like to believe that our Lord is a loving and forgiving God, that he does not hold grudges, that he welcomes all who hold Him in their hearts with open arms. Not so sure what you all believe but I think you are forgetting what a church and being christian means.

A dozen children, and you paid out of your pocket, fine. But I remember a time there were 80 children, 20 helpers and everything was paid out of the pocket of Christian Ed, money raised by ham and cheese sales. Until Darcy ruined it and no one wanted to help anymore. Nothing was meant to punish the children - the materials ordered was meant for large groups - if darcy was going to do it - there would not be a large group so it wasn't needed.

July 5 Incident

Due to the lack of assistance from the Lehigh County Court system, Lehigh County District Attorney's office, and Catasauqua Police Department, the church hired private security guards to prevent Darcy from trespassing at the church. Confrontation between Darcy and security ensued as she attempted to unlawfully enter the church. The Catasauqua Police Department arrived and threatened to arrest anyone who prevented her from entering the church, purportedly following orders from the Lehigh County D.A.'s office. Security stood down on the arrest threats, and Darcy waltzed into church. After the services were over, Darcy announced she would return next Sunday to conduct services in the church sanctuary. Stay tuned.

Update....Friday everyone received a letter from the D.A. allowing the church to call the police to keep her out. Sunday was Darcy-less. How long it will last, only God knows.
