Congratulations. I wish you great success. Maybe the Catholic schools should consider going 'charter'. It seems like an interesting way to get public money for religious schools.

I may have to retract my previous post. Is the LVCHS a charter school? Anyone?

Is wasn't safe for the children of Catasauqua, we needed a "new" school built in another community, but is safe for children in the LVCHS. Just another blunder on the part of the CATASAUQUA SCHOOL BOARD. After all, they still think this is the millionaire town....just check our school taxes....we all be taxed out of town before long!

Answer to Bill...No, Lehigh Valley Christian High School is not a charter school and does not get one dime from "public money." It is a private, christian high school, funded by the parents who send their children there. These parents also fund their local school districts through their school taxes.

Answer to Old Timer:

The Catasauqua Area School Board has NOTHING to do with a private high school moving into Lincoln middle school...which the Catty school district DOES NOT OWN...it SOLD the building.

The building of a new high school for Catty in another area is a whole other can of worms that has nothing to do with this private transaction.

The new school was built because of space issues at the high school. They then moved the middle school kids to the old high school & SOLD the middle school. None of that was done because of the safety of the children at Lincoln. I never felt unsafe while there.

They are not going charter they are looking to rent the current building to a charter school the christian high school is an over priced school with non qualified teachers.....some of them who have had nervous break downs in the school and locked them selves in rooms...

doubt it....all the parents can look forward to an increase in tuition right now it is 6,700 a year plus a tech fee of 75 plus a family assessment fee then if your student needs extra help you pay for that as well so all of this will increase i am sure......because it is a religious school not all the teachers are certified through pa dept of edu.....

Old Timer:

Drive pass the new high school. There are fields for various activities, and a beautiful facility that Lehigh Valley Christian High School could only dream about. Since you are an oldtimer, then when the old Catty high was built, you benefitted from that buidling and when Lincoln Gym was built, you and the people benefitted from that facility. Now there is a new generation and 50 years from now there may be a need to replace the Catty Middle School. The land is already at the high school if there is that need. Let the younger people enjoy the new facilities as you enjoyed the new (old Catty High) and Lincoln Gym. If we always refered back to the old times, we would still be using the trolley car.

Doesn't the man that owns the old folks home in the area own this building and a family member is trying to take over a church and sueing with attorney John Karoly. This just seems a little humorous to me all the while infecting this area withthe bad apples.
