poor mamma.
Louis is and has been with the angels is my opinion. It was a terrible neighborhood. He was small and weak.
He is with God.
I wish they could give this mother peace and closure. god bless you mother.

We lived in that area when he disappared and I believe it was a Friday night. I always thought that whoever he came into contact with him disposed of him in the garbage collection that night. Maybe it was a prank gone wrong but he was always out running around the streets late at night. I shared this with Lt. Jacoby at that time.
Thats a strange thing to think and say....
Do you know something maybe?

This is a Morning Call srategy to sell papers. There is no new news on this case, they just do this on the anniversary of old news because it's easier and cheaper to rehash old news than to actually find and report new news. It's in sensitive to the family. They ddi the same thing with the girl who was murdered Thanksgiving day weekend in 1969. No real news, just old news. My heart goes out to the family that has tried to move on while the police haven't solved the case. Thank God he runaway girl a couple of weeks ago had the sense to come home on her own. We could still be waiting on the police to find her.
So you think just forgetting about the old cases will solve them. Did you write the Idiot's Guide to Solving Crime? The families and police always come to the paper hoping that by telling the stories of past crimes, someone may come forward. If the families didn't want to talk, they wouldn't. Yeesh.

I lost my daughter in a car accident around the same time. And while it hurts and it always will, at least I know where the cemetary is. I feel so bad for her family not knowing all these years and wondering if he i alive or dead. Please cherish your children and granschildren. They truly are a gift from GOD.

I remember Louis very well. He was the most friendly child. Louis told stories all the time and he would often hang around CCHS. When the band would go to football games, he would want to go along on the bus. I remember, like it was yesterday, explaining to him why he couldn't go and that he needed to go home. He wasn't afraid of anything and was an EXTREMELY trusting little boy who would have gone with anyone who would take him. I am afraid that is exactly what happened.

Mrs Mackerley, I know you have been praying all these years but are you praying in God's will or yours? Have you turned to the Lord in all this or are you doing things on your own? I remember a neighbor of yours telling me about your son. She wanted me to
meet him. The next day he disappeared. God knows what happened to him and why. Maybe someday HE will reveal to you what you desperately want know--that he is safe and has been just lost all these years. I'll be praying in God's will that your son is found. God Bless
Oh, please. She is a praying mother, who has endured pain beyond anything we can ever imagine. Leave her alone.

My heart goes out to this family. As a parent in today's society it is a scary thought...I can't imagine the horror this family has gone through. Sadly, this is more common in today's crazy world, but 25 years ago...? Tragic. Prayers for the family as you can clearly see how it has changed them forever! I hope this mom is able to find answers--whatever they may be--for peace of mind.
This was more common 25 uyrs ago than you think. Kids would disappear just as they do now, only back then it wasn'tmade into a big deal the way it is today, there alswo was not mass amounts of information sources as there are today. It happened back then, but you just didn't hear about it as much. I can remember kids disappearing many yrs before 1984 when this case happened, but there were no Amber alerts, no Megans Law, or the net or the massofcable news channels back then.

God allows us to put up with people like you. You are very fortunate, because He is the only one who loves you.

This case is profiled on the Charley Project (a missing persons database). It's difficult to comprehend how agonizing 26 years must be for his family without any indication of what happened to Louis.

If the statements Louis said about the couple he met were true, at least there is some small clue to his fate; however, it can't be discounted that he also told a store owner that he was hiding in the store from two older boys who were bullying him and they may have deliberately or accidentally harmed him. Tragically this case leans towards the child being killed by someone who knew him and knew his general activities. Hopefully Louis'fate will be fully solved.

I have followed this story through the years on the Doe Network... there is a detective to this day, who still can not bear the fact that this case was never solved. I really don't think he has ever given up.
A piece is missing and it will surface, unfortunately, it was not sooner.
Bashing this one , blaming that one, will get nowhere.
My prayers to this family. Louis, you are not forgotten by many of us....

This is my brother. He still has not been found. Our hearts will never stop believing their is even the smallest amount of hope that hes alive. My mother was put down so bad by law enforcement. My older brother got to watch my parents be ripped apart. To be put down and told that they sold him. As far as the money that was raised to try and help my family keep their home. The one place my mother thought he'd always come back too. We lost the house anyway. The pain doesn't go away. I barely have any memories and my little brother has none. Now he sits at the bottom of a desk to never be pulled out or even looked at unless its a mile marker. We wanna know what happened. As far as god. Like the one woman said. what has god done. Not a damn thing.

Sticks and Bones, I agree with you 100 percent. At this stage of the game he should stop blaming the police and concede that many murders have been committed by family members of the victim. Does he watch the news or American Justice or read the newspaper?
I feel this boy died very near his home and probably is buried in someone's basement.
I understand the family's feelings with the loss of a loved one and with all those unanswered questions.
