The killer's wife begged the jury to spare Burno's life so she doesn't have to explain to them why he might someday be dead.
Thats too bad. I'm sure his victim begged for his life too.

isn't it amazing how these bad-azz people get all mushy when they are sentenced for what they did, then he said he takes responsiblity of why he is there, but then says he didn't do the killings, and then Bruno's wife says to spare him from the death penalty, did she ever explain to them what he did to be there in the 1st place. BTW Pengy I feel a Johnny Cash here somewhere, how about you.

He'll die of old age on death row after exhausting a fortune in taxpayer $$$ on bogus stall-tactic appeals. PA has no death penalty.

I didn't think they knew what the death penalty was in Lehigh County...not that it matters, anyway...he'll spend the next 20 years on death row using up all his appeals.

As a former emergency services worker who's seen the trauma to victims AND their families by the bad guys in this world, I have No sympathy for people who do such things. HE had a choice as to what he did, his victims had NO choice. And I don't care if the judge would sentence him to life without parole, as long as he's alive and kicking there's always a chance he'll go free. My only problem with this is, as others here have pointed out, that he'll more than likely stay in jail for years on appeal, wasting our tax dollars. And while I respect all religious beliefs, for anyone who would point to the Bible and say that capital punishment is wrong, I would point to the Old Testament - you know, "an eye for an eye," also the quotation which ran something like "If a man commits murder, let him be taken, even if it be from my altar, and put to death."

To Debbie Garlicki:

I'm wondering why the name of "Lansford' was so prominently placed in your story about a convicted and sentenced double murderer. I live in Lansford, and I know it's a dump, but what does this guy's temporary address have to do with his murder conviction? Was this just another poke at Lansford? If I were the writer this story, I think I'd display his name a little more prominently.

Re: Joe....Lansfords a DUMP???? Why don't you leave?? I've lived in Lansford for the last 35 years and although it's not what it used to be it's still MY HOMETOWN and I'm proud of it. It is no ones fault the local economy slumped. The problem is with the trainsient people who move in with their kids knowing they will never stay here. We edcuate??? them and they move out. Because they have no ties to the area they don't care about the local infrastructure.

The Rosado family has suffered so much with the lost of their son Oscar and his older brother who also passed a few years back. I'm glad to see this jerk will get the death penalty and I'm sorry that his family will feel it in their hearts forever... but he did have a choice and he didn't pick the right one....

It is amazing to me how little you all know about this story! So here you go:
Junius Burno was not the shooter. There was no Forensic evidence linking him to the crime which ADA Dantos admitted repeatedly in this case!! She stated that he didn't leave evidence because he didn't partake in the fight but the fight was all with bullets. Junius took Mr. Bethea to a Philadelphia hospital for care. He has accepted this responsibility all along. This charge is Accessory After the Fact which carries a 7 1/2-15 sentence for which she did not charge him with! Tee Bethea was prosecuted over two plus years ago but it took her almost four years to make her lies and get motions that would make a lot of what would have exhonerated him inadmissable. You didn't hear a lot of things including the fact that he made five statements all of which only the original satement read backed up the forensic evidence. You didn't hear that the others were cohersed because his family and children were being threatened.

I pray for all of the victims in this case..both the dead and the living. But the fact is that the people who are not closest to the Burno case do not know the lies the ADA put on the stand. She won several motions which would have enhonerated him of the shooting. He did not pull the trigger and the man who did was given life. Tell me how that makes the Rosados happy. Tell me how anyone but Jesus can give them peace?

He took Tee Bethea to the hospital. He did NOT pull the trigger. You are misinformed about your opinion. Even the ADA said there is no evidence to put him inside the house when the shooting occurred. He should not die when the shooter was given life.
