Nursing home should have kept the door locked.

Janie,
I don't think they knew anything. They were just making an assumption because of her age.

I worked with the woman you are making jokes about ,Your comments are very disrespectful. This woman passed away, there are family and friends who will not think your jokes are very funny. Hopefully you and your family will never have to go through something so horrific.

You're either right or an idiot because there are no nursing homes close enough to that corner.

Evidently there is no shortage of a**holes that can read. Personally, my prayers go out to those left behind in her passing. Secondly, my leftover prayers go out to the loved ones of the idiots that make those unfeeling comments.

Sadly, I live right where she was hit. My heart goes out to her family and friends. And to the young man who hit her (Whom I believe will be going away for a long time after seeing what transpired last night), at least you'll be able to think about it while you rot in prison for doing this to an innocent lady.

I worked with her too. She will be missed by all of her co-workers. I can't believe all the stupid - ass comments that have been put on here about this.

I didn't get her name. The only thing people said was that she was 68....but that is conflicting with the information on this page, and also with the Morning Call's

Have been trying to follow this story, but haven't been able to find anything other than the info that was published on Friday night. Why hasn't the name of the driver been released? Who is he related to?

Prayers to the family, would like to know who she was, perhaps I knew her.
