this is so sad. Details are not in yet but we pray for the family of whoever was the victim and for our neighborhood. We pray the people will be caught and we pray for the people who did this. this is so wrong. so sad. that is all we can say.

Mike was a man from India who came to live the American dream. His hours ran from 6am. to 9pm. He and his brother did nearly all the work. Other family members helped out at times. Mike ran his store in a very friendly way. He joked a lot. He even learned Spanish so he could help some of his non English speaking customers.
He was a joy to be with.
I have asked the victims assistance org. to set up a memorial fund. His family will need it. Yet today the store is a crime scene and the family is in no condition to run the store. They need our help. It probably will be a week before it opens again providing an income for the family.
If you drive by the store on the corner of Columbus and Flower You will see a lot of flowers, candles, and outpourings of love from his neighbors. He will be missed. We all agree that this is a senseless act of brutality in order to get a little money for drugs. It is very hard for me right now to find any kind feeling for these two bit bandits.
God be with us all.
