The roads were fine before the sewer project. Is this another fee being passed to the tax payer? Add this to extreme Brunswick county and Oak Island taxes. Beach renourishment fees, underground power line fees, sewer fees $4200 per parcel,$100 and higher water bills, and I almost left out being charged for fire service twice. Property taxes and fire fees per parcel.

The roads will be chopped up until the last lot has sewer, new taps now cost over $8,000, it will never end, every lot without a tap will be charged out the kazoo and all east and north side lots will have a street cut, why repave now? waste of $$$

Ever since they tore down long beach pier the place has gone downhill, such a shame, I agree, once there was a time, when residents and visitors could afford a good family beach, not any more, dang!

well its 3 years later and the roads are still terrible, from the botched sewer system install. why was the construction company not held accountable for the road repairs? should have held their feet to the fire and not been paid for inferior workmanship.
