was there a shooting at Castro Village last night?

There was some police activity near the Castro Valley Bowl around 11 p.m. last night. My teen-aged daughter heard there was a shooting. Does anyone know if this is true?

i live right behind the village. i think it was just a fight, but there was alot of people in the back of the pizza place fighting.about 12 cop cars unmarked and marked cars responded within a few min.i didnt hear a gun shot.

I'm pretty sured there was a shooting, I heard some type of noise, I didnt think it was a gun, but my friend saw someone go down. Either that or a tazer. After we had left, the ambulance in the parking lot had someone in it, but they could've just been from fighting.

There was no shooting a black kid ran from the police i tripped him as he ran by me aqnd then the cops tased him

I thank you for telling us what actually happened as I am a concerned person that lives in Castro Valley and my son and his friends said there was a shooting, but I didn't see anything on the news or in the Castro Valley Forum. Thank you again.

No, there was no shooting that night. I was at the the village with some friends that night and there was a party at a pizza parlor there called Mountain Mike's. Many of the people at the party were either high or drunk. A fight consisting over 200 people broke out in the parking lot and had to be broken up by police officers from over the East Bay. Many had weapons on them but no one was shot or injured.

The way the news is spreading between all the teenagers. The teenages are saying Yes there was a shooting and two teens were shot and killed. If this is true I would think this information should be in the news paper. I looked and there is nothing in the Argus.

I dont understand why our young generation walks around with a gun. When a issue results in shotting that only means that we are weak within ourselves to fix the problem in a verbal mannor. It is just so nasty how our world has become. I fear for my son to have to grow into this environment. Castro Valley is one of the place/town that people wish to live.. If we continue to act like people in Oakland, then the value of our community will decrease. The people of Castro Valley need to stand together and handle our kids and not let just anyone come in.. THis is our town not for hoodrats or getto people.

I was doing security at the village.... it wasn't a shooting.. it was 2 people getting tased...

thank god I don't work there anymore! i got attacked 2 weeks before that! C.V is a hole! LOL
