Smoking pot at work is as bad as drinking alcohol at work -- plus it's illegal.

If I was their employer I would have wanted to know. Ultimately, the employer is liable for their employees.

May I ask why you didn't turn them in when you had the chance? That really would have impressed your 10 year old, too!

Pot isnt nearly as bad ass alcohol. Pot helps with cancer glocoma and can be an antidepressant or anti anxiety meds. Get over it. U just cost someone a job. Now your gonna pay for them to live. Why not mind your own bisness. My spelling is bad to why dont u complain about that while u pick your weggy.

If you want to smoke pot with your friends, on your own time, while listening to music or watching TV -- not too many people would really care about that now a days.

BUT, next time you smoke pot try to do something [difficult], like say for instance plan and cook dinner. I'm not taking about warming up left overs or throwing a frozen pizza in the oven, either! I'm talking about getting out your knife and cutting board etc and trying to do something productive. It's not so easy is it?(Now go sit down.)

Smoking pot effects your motor skills, thought processes etc. Do it on your OWN TIME, not out in public, not when you're at work ! especially handling someone's money! or when there is a SAFETY concern.

Customers should expect the employees that are waiting on them aren't HIGH. If someone gets fired from work because they're high, then it's their own fault they lost their job.

If someone smokes pot in public, then they have just made it everyone's business -- buy definition!

Really? Well, apparently there was no backing to this story, as no one was fired from the branch for any sort of "drug use". Also, I've worked in a bank setting for the last 8 years- have you ever held a position where you have to deal with the public? If so, then you surely understand that it is impossible to please everyone, ESPECIALLY when the RULES are set by the federal government, and we have to follow regulations that people don't like to adhere to, and when they get an answer they don't like or "I'm sorry, I can't do that"- it's automatically ME being rude, and not me simply doing my job. When someone overdraws their account, it's my fault, when someone can't figure out what they did with money, I track it down, I literally deal with 100's of people a day, I'm sorry if you catch me momentarily without a smile on my face- I apologize... I may be thinking about one of the 50 other things I have to get back to people on, file, complete before the end of the day or look into. Prior to working in a bank, I too thought- oh what an easy job- but it isn't... it's HARD and stressful and very demanding- so please don't be so quick to judge, we do practice customer service, and we do have to follow rules we don't set, it may come across like rudeness- but when someone is upset, it doesn't matter HOW nice you try and explain or help with a solution- the teller is automatically the enemy. Have a great day- and better luck with your next banking experience.

Luck won't change the lack of quality customer service in banks. From mortgages to simple banking needs, the people who work directly with customers consistently have an unwarranted attitude. If you say the job is so awful, then clearly you weren't meant to have a customer service job. Customers who don't cause problems don't deserve to be treated poorly just because you had a disgruntled customer prior.

It's not practicing customer service when your constantly rude or a bitch!!! The State St. Lowville branch is extremely bad for this and no matter what your problem they pretty much tell you to screw yourself and don't care because it didn't happen to them so why care. You know your job is no more stressful than anyone else's! If you can't handle it don't work! Yes we are all entitled to a bad day but when it comes to customer service, the customer is always right!!!! This is why so many businesses fail, maybe you should learn that! I will not go back to a place if the service is shitty! If I talked to my clients the way some of these bitches have, I'd be out of a job! Get over it and deal with it!

I have never had a bad banking experience with Community. I never bounced a check or had any problems, maybe that's why.
I am glad the HSBC branch closed, though. I never had any money issues but the customer service there was opposite of Community.
The red-head bitch needed to go. I cant think of her name, but she was always, always rude and one time even told my finances to her boyfriend Jeremy. He told one of his co-workers who is a mutual friend of mine. They aren't doctors so I don't know what confidentiality they are supposed to have.
