I'm sure you have probably already found the number. If not, let me know, and I can ask around, see if I can get it for you.

I wanted to get on with AT&T soooo bad. I went through the process a couple times, and haven now given up.=/

Again.. Let me know if you still need to number, and I can ask someone I know for it.

Take care!=)

What is it about AT&T that makes you all want to work there so bad? I was just wondering.

It is one of the best paying jobs in this area. And, if you can handle it, it's a pretty great place to work.

I heard it was like a call center. What kind of work do you do there? Any idea how much a typical job pays?

I believe that they pay $9.21 an hour now, when I worked there they started you out at $8.56 hr, during the 6 weeks of training, and then depending on the shift/team you got you either made $9.00 or $9.90 hr. ( the $0.90 is for mostly evening shift). But, then again it was Cingular then. You answer incoming calls from customers and potential customers, some store reps. and sometimes other call center reps. Back then you would also handle your own esculations, and sometimes take your own, unless the customer refused to speak with anyone other than a manager. And, do some technical assistance, and billing questions, and plan questions, continuous training, and more. Hope that helps.

Have they changed their hiring procedure in the past few months? They are so darn hard to get hired on there. Wish we had more places that pay that well in this area.

att has changed a lot since cingular. the hiring process is different. getting in there is not hard at all if you can pass the test in the hiring process. the pay is 9.21 starting and raises are every 6 mos. the job is stressful and not just because of the calls you take. you do mainly technical, billing and therapy for customers haha. you also will be mostly inbound calls, with potential outbound. its a good paying job but working there myself if there were other potential jobs that would offer what i make now id be out of there in a heart beat.

its stressful because att having to do the same thing day in and day out becomes draining. a lot of people cant handle the types of calls that come in and sometimes its on a daily basis. you have to remember, its an inbound call center. it required patience and the ability to handle people when they are upset and do not understand things. also handle people who need detailed help and instructions. it can be tedious and it can be simple. its a very complex job. it is definately a good job but its also definately not for everyone!

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Taurus

Time is hurtling towards Christmas Day and it seems that you're in a panic about how you're going to get everything done in time. You may even have reached the stage where you've ground to a halt because you don't know what to do first. So take a deep breath, calm down and do things one at a time. Otherwise you'll end up feeling confused, tired and tearful.
