Totally unjustified. Nash is a great cop and a wonderful person. Don't hate the player CwoodMan, just hate the game.

He may be a good person but being a cop is not a player nor a game it's a major job that most is under paid to do but everyone should respect these men and woman that do the job but cops like Nash is a shame to russell county out of shape and can't even pass the school and our sheriff letting this go on shouldl lose his job and there is other cops that look worse than Nash but if you feel safe with fat slow lazy cops that's up to you but look at the bad job they have down at our school the cop sets in her car on the phone all day and we pay for that
Nash is an asset to Russell County and I DO feel safe under Russell Countys law enforcement. Opinions are like a**holes CwoodMan, everybody has one. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

Opinions are like a**holes and yes everyone does have one it's just my opinion is completely different than yours right now. When I have has personal experience with Officer Nash and seeing his lack of abilities due to his being out of shape it's very sad that anyone in Russell County would feel safe with any obse officers being allowed to stay that way on the force. If you will look at State Troopers and other agencies they have to pass physical fitness tests on a yearly basis. I would dare say our sheriff as well as Mr. Nash as well as others on Russell County roster would be able to run a half a mile non stop. It is obvious that you are taking up for him because of your personal feelings not because of truth Ms. Nash!

Wrong again CwoodMan. I am not Nash's wife, mother or sister. I'm just someone who feels like youre not giving him nor the rest of the sheriff's department a fair shake.

Yes, I see you are not the only one who thinks there needs to be a change, I get it. Just seems like its personal between you and Nash. You're on him pretty hard.

Not at all personal I just seen him first hand unable to to his job in a VERY NEEDED time and it was real bad and it makes me angry at the fact that Nash and cops like him that are out of shape and sorry are allowed to keep there jobs when young people need good able cops not a pat on the back and told son I'm sorry but I could not catch him I was too slow!!!!!!!

Nash is a nice man and a very good police officer and he is quite handsome. He loves his wife and his community. Nash does a difficult job for low pay he even attempts to help people when he can. I think the people who complain about our cops are likely low life , lawbreaking, welfare check collecting trash who do not even pay taxes to pay the cops salary. I feel very safe at my job and in my home when Nash is on shift.I think he deserves a big fat raise for risking his life to take care of the good citizens and the trash because he does not discriminate -he looks out for everyone!!!!!Nash is like a big strong Andy Griffith . We are blessed to have him and his wife in our community. We need more good people like him and less degenerates around here.THANK YOU NASH !!!!!!!! I think you are a great officer -you deserve more cash ,less TRASH and free donuts for life.

Yes I see your point as well but I will not respond to the other person because I am none of the things that person described even tho Russell county is full of that it's bad we can't have an intelligent conversation on here but so what that is why some of us did what we did for this country and still do in other ways as cops or rescue but I can see this conversation is over and in two years I will make my voice heard with a vote against Dye

I'll be upfront and say I have known Carlos Nash a long time, not bosom buddies or anything, but still. I have to say that I think Carlos is an upstanding officer; honest, hardworking and he cares for his community. I usually don't bother to comment but the statements made against one of the best officers RCSD has had in years were just too much! CwoodMan seems to have a lot of info about Carlos, I haven't challenged him to a race so I don't know if he could run a half mile straight or not. I do think I remember him going to school to become an officer, and I could be wrong but I think he did something similar in the military. So while we may need a new sheriff, I vote we keep Carlos Nash.

It's true Mr Nash is a good man in a lot of ways but I see things the way Cwoodman does the officers does need to keep in shape. Russell County has several officers that could not pass any type of physical exam at all. That is in no way safe and we are footing the bill for their insurance on top of that

~sigh~ I guess by you signing this "WorksHere", that you are a county employee as well. What about the county employees (not just the sheriffs dept) that look perfectly healthy on the outside but have medical issues that we don't see? They contribute to the raise in your insurance premiums
as well. I hope that you never have a need to call for help in an emergency situation but I promise you if you do, you won't call asking for the healthiest officer that's on duty and you'll be happy to see the boys in brown show up. Russell county has a fine sheriffs dept, it's just sad to see how unappreciative some of the citizens are.=\
