Phone Number In Texas Polygamist Compound Abuse Report Linked To Colo. Woman

A phone number used to report alleged abuse at a polygamist retreat in Texas has been linked to a woman suspected of making false abuse claims in Colorado, according to an affidavit made public Wednesday.

It's not yet clear whether authorities suspect Rozita Swinton, 33, of Colorado Springs, made the calls that triggered an April 3 raid of the compound. The arrest warrant affidavit released Wednesday says that several calls alleging abuse there were made using several phone numbers, including the number linked to Swinton.

As stated before over-reaction based on flimsy evidence - and due process once again takes a dive. Waco without the fires and deaths (except to 400+ children separated from their parents)- good job Texas.

Ooops. How do you go about saying "I'm sorry" for invading people's homes and stealing their children?

Who says we don't live in a fascist country?

They said the calls came from the ranch. They said they had insiders working under cover. Yet when they got inside they didn't realize that there where 450 kids in there. With todays modern spy technology they knew exactly where those calls came from. It became a convienent cover story to assault these peoples civil liberties. I wonder what story they will give when they kick in our doors?

Ohhh.....I'm so glad to see there are other sane people thinking for themselves! This Texas action is about a fascist as it comes. They know exactly where this phone call came from...and who put the woman up to it. This whole thing stinks! If the phone call that caused Texas to take action proves to be false, it would stand to reason the whole raid and any evidence seized is tainted and not useable in court. What has happened to our CONSTITUTION? There have been a myriad of lies told by law enforcement "for our own good". I wonder when they are going to start in on the Jehovah's Witnesses? I wonder who will be next?

Proof of all this? No, ranting I would imagine. Marriage certificates? Pictures? Testimony? Think you would be last person to assume who or what I am. And judging by most of your comments on here they are generally lunatic ravings anyhow. Any idea of what due process is? What the law is? What the effect on all these children and mothers is? Ever been in a foster care home? In Texas? You think this is like a little sun drenched f*cking vacation for these preschool children or the older ones? Long term ramifications? Due process you f*cking idiot might forestall some of these. Now your state only has about 40,000 more people to haul in and do the same thing to. Reality bites buddy.

ARE YOU ADVOCATING CAPITAL PUNISHMENT? FOR WHAT? ARE YOU SUGGESTING PUTTING THESE MEN TO DEATH WITHOUT DUE PROCESS?

2) Put the WOMEN in mental institutions

ONCE AGAIN, INCARCERATION WITHOUT DUE PROCESS? HOW ABOUT WE STERILIZE THEM ALL, JUST LIKE THE NAZIS DID? THAT WILL CERTAINLY MAKE A MUCH BETTER DEMOCRACY, DON'T YOU THINK? HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT WHO WILL PAY FOR ALL THESE WOMEN TO BE INCARCERATED? LIKE WISE...HAVE YOU CONSIDERED WHO WILL PAY FOR ALL THE LEGAL APPEALS FOR BOTH THE WOMEN AND THE MEN YOU WANT TO PUT TO DEATH?.....OR SHOULD WE JUST KILL THEM WITH NO TRIAL?

3)Place the children in homes where they won't be abused any more.
THIS STATEMENT IS THE BIGGEST LAUGH OF ALL! FOSTER HOMES SAFE? LMAO...YOU DON'T KNOW JACK ABOUT FOSTER HOMES OR GROUP HOMES.

"Ms. Nelson noted that the deaths of three foster children last fall are blamed on abuse – including Christian Nieto in Corsicana and Katherine Frances in DeSoto. She said 14 foster youth deaths since 2003 have been blamed on caregivers."

The same things could have been accomplished with due process and the law. And the people truly responsible could have been the ones hauled off for justice. And yes that point affects us all regardless of how disgusting some of the things they purportedly did are. You make one hell of alot of assumptions. Your own state said they don't have enough foster homes to house all these kids. Now what? Maybe in your area they are good; can they take entire families? Doubt it. So many of these children will wind up as fodder, alone without their siblings, in bad foster homes. And don't tell me Texas doesn't have any of those. They may not have to worry about their fathers but they surely will be prey for many others.

Please post a site where it says fathers are having sex with their own children! Let me explain to you what has happened to those children since they were taken from their homes and abducted from their mothers.
They have been isolated from everything and everyone they have ever known. Do you have the capacity to understand how frightened these children must be? They have been strip searched and body cavity searched,(even the youngest) looking for signs of abuse and molestation.(This was done without consent by either the children or their mothers. Touching private parts of your body without consent is called molestation, even under the guise of "helping them" and medicine.) They have had all their possessions and clothes taken from them. They were wisked away from their home in another religions vans.
These children are being shipped all over Texas and in some cases out of the state. How nice you "know" some of these social workers (boy oh boy...talk about job security!). I'm sure they will tell you this action is going to overwhelm the foster care system. Read the article I posted....these children WILL NOT BE ALRIGHT! You have some misconceptions about this whole story and it appears you have bought in to all the stories the media has to offer up. Haven't you gotten it yet? Dirty laundry and sex sells sells.

Over reaction? Flimsy evidence?

Already child welfare investigators have found EVIDENCE of abuse. All they really need is just ONE case to carry on the investigation, but they must have many here. The story says they have been receiving calls since last year about the abuse. Polygamy is against he law and so is impregnating a minor. Other witnesses are coming out the woodwork to tell the world what has really been happening at these ranches.

That's hardly anything flimsy if you asked me.

I have to agree totally. Really, it's past time to realize that most 'abuse claims' are the remorse of a child or teenager after a sexual encounter that doesn't meet their expectations, or simply a false allegation totally.
Time to repeal the 'child sexual abuse' and 'statutory rape' laws, because they are being used by women like this Colorado woman and men like the ones in the church abuse 'scandal' to harass people YEARS after the fact.

As my adult friend (who I was making love with) told me when I was 10: if you don't report something until YEARS after the fact, you are not 'scared' because anyone who is scared is going to tell someone about the thing they are scared about right away. No, you are more pissed off at the person in question for leaving you, in almost all cases.

That was exactly right. Any girl, boy or woman who is raped or forced into any sexual contact against their will is going to blab about it IMMEDIATELY, as my one friend in high school did when her uncle touched her without her permission.

What has really been happening? Are you deluded? Every single woman who has said that there was 'abuse' in the polygamist compounds has been proven to be LYING or EXAGGERATING by the other people in said compounds or marriages.

Secondly, polygamy should not be illegal. The government is overstepping it's bounds by making it illegal, just as they overstepped their bounds by making pedosexuality illegal.

You are appearing more and more to be what you truly are: one of those 'law and order' nuts who thinks that just because it is in the 'law', it should be obeyed.
Okay then, the next time that you go out, put a lantern on your car before you drive at night.... if you don't, you are breaking the law in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

I actually NEVER SAID not to give them a trial. I have enough faith in the judicial system to know that they will be found GUILTY OF POLYGAMY and of IMPREGNATING CHILDREN.
These are CRIMES in the United States.......but not in your tiny, little, distorted mind. DNA samples are being taken and if there was any of this going on they WILL find out. DNA does not lie.
Question: WHY are you getting so hostile???? Do you know anything about this type of deviant behavior? My guess is yes.
Actually I do....I live in Creston BC which is close to Bountiful, a polygamist community. I talk with the women from Bountiful in town, I've shared food with them, I buy flowers from them at their nursery in Creston, I've attended a presentation given by the residents of Bountiful explaining their way of life. They are lovely, gentle, soft spoken women who raise their children with love. The head of the sect is Winston Blackmore.
http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/C...

If you are so concerned with the morals in America and at the YFZ Ranch then I think we should start at the top......

John Allen Burt, Republican anti-abortion activist, convicted of sexually molesting a 15 year old girl at the home for troubled girls that he ran.[19]
Dan Burton, Republican Congressman who, while married, fathered a child by another woman.[20]
George W. Bush, Republican president, accused in a criminal complaint and lawsuit of raping Margie Schoedinger, who later committed suicide.

YEAH RIGHT....SUICIDE!

John Butler, Republican activist, was charged with criminal sexual assault on a teenage girl.
Ken Calvert, Congressman (R-Ca), champion of the Christian Coalition and its "family values." Sued as an alimony deadbeat by his ex-wife. Said "We can't forgive what occurred between the President and Lewinsky." In 1993 he was caught by police receiving oral sex from a prostitute and attempted to flee the scene."........OH, THERE IS MUCH MORE! I DO BELIEVE ALL THESE THING IN THE FOLLOWING SITE ARE ALSO AGAINST THE LAW! Wonder what happened to all these deviants?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Ansell/List...

Lets say a married man has several affairs with young women that produced several children....are you willing to FRY him as well? Are you willing to abduct the children from the mothers? What crime have the children committed? There, though out history, have been May-December marriages and wife swapping going on. Do all these people need to be in jail? Did America put Jerry Lee Lewis in jail for marrying his 13 year old first cousin and having affairs?

Oh yes, there have been crimes committed.... ignoring the CONSTITUTION AND DUE PROCESS ARE THE BIGGEST!

BTW....GUESS WHERE JEFFS MONEY COMES FROM? THAT'S RIGHT.....THE PENTAGON..

please read the post prior to yours - that is the point. that is the result of not doing things according to the law. There are ways that are better than others to do things. And the issue of complicity in alot of these ranches exists also. Sometimes doing things the right way has better results than barnstorming tactics. And if the children are indeed the main concern, there should be many people held to account for their futures right now. My concern if that future will indeed be better than what they had, as distorted as that seems to those of us who weren't part of it. Don't be so quick to rush to judgements based on things that aren't substantiated facts - and don't be so quick to kill the entire herd because of one sick cow. Nuf said.

The greatest part of this story is yet to come! After the DNA test results are processed, they'll announce the finding that ALL of the kids are from one father; and THAT my friends will be the end of their stupid poligamy story.

OK, so it probably won't happen, but it should, just to show how rediculous a compound of in-breeders is unhealthy at it's most basic roots.

There is law-breaking in this polygamist retreat and abuse of all kinds. Those men are too disgusting to even think about, and the women are not completely blameless.(However, I suppose those women can be thought of as hostages in a way.)
Those disgusting men sacrificed anyone and everyone to lust and SELF, even exiling sons. They speak of spiritual marriages, but they are no better than those Muslims who know best and keep their women uneducated and under threat of beheading. I guess with that comparison you can imagine how strongly I feel about the FLDS compound--and most Americans feel the same.

Most legal experts agree that the case will stand with or without testimony by the teenage caller.

What they found at the ranch, once they entered legally and with a warrant, can and will be used in court to put those demonic, sadistic, pedophiles away for the next 30 years.

Now those old men can see what it feels like to have sex with someone they don't want to have sex with.

Thank God for Karma.
