Just a word of advice, do not EVER take your loved ones to Delmar Gardens North on Parker Road. I mean Seniors, or kids for the day care. DO NOT do business with this company.

I have had 3 relatives in Delmar Gardens, and currently have a friend there. I have visited many, many times. I have never seen, heard or noticed any infractions or problems. Actually, rather impressive and the staff were all caring and well trained.

If there is a real supportable issue, it should be reported. But, if not, don't make one up.

If you witnessed an employee hitting a child would you want that employee to continue working there? I wouldnt, but guess what?? She is, and the person who reported it got fired. A very good friend of mine worked there and said that kind of thing happens all the time with the seniors. She got fired because she called the state health dept on them.

My wife worked there. She hated it. Cruel, cruel management with no heart at all. She was harrassed by her supervisor and was let go because she threatened to report her boss and other infractions to the state. Ironically my wife was friends with another employee who experienced something very similiar.
Its not a good place to work, to live I have no idea.

I agree with boy cott. I had a relative there and her stuff was stolen, when we told the staff about it they were nice to us to our face but the relative told us she was yelled at by the nurses. We took her out of there right away after that. The administration wouldn't even look into the matter because we took her out of there. I guess since they werent getting money from us that they figure they just shouldnt care anymore.
I have heard they are having money problems too, probably from all the lawsuits. 4 or 5 pages worth on casenet.

Im guessing the hitler style administration is forcing all delmar garden employees to agree with this post.

Kathy bono is a bich. Dont ever work for that place. You will think you are in a nazi concentration camp which is ironic since the place is owned by a bunch of cheap jewish bastards.

You must not know Cathy Bono if cant agree with that person's statement. If you do you must be related to her. She is truly a big "bich". ANYONE who has ever worked at that place knows it.

The nurses all stick together, but in a very bad way. Medicines were not dispensed correctly. You would have to be there to believe what was going on. The place looks nice enough, but some evil things go on on a much deeper level, I will take my chances in the ghetto.

Had a loved one here that I couldn't take out fast enough. Not a good place....If you report anything, the nurses will take it out on your loved ones as they did mine.

Good advice REPORT PROBLEMS, but the person that was in the room with my loved one didn't want to come forward and be a witness because they were dispensing of medication to the witness and she did not want to be a "victim"; also, when you are dealing with your loved one's recovery, you don't really have time for lawsuits, vindictiveness, etc. I did report it to the head but got superficial assistance.
This nursing home was also double dosing my loved one per the nurse(from a different hospital affiliation)we dealt with after my loved one came out of DGN nursing home.

I am vey shocked to read this awful slander about Cathy Bono. I have known Mrs. B. for over 25 years and she has been nothing but an outstanding boss. The one thing I have always known to be true about her is that she would do anything for the residents of that facility, she is very compassionate about each and every one of the residents. The people that has made these comments must clearly been a very difficult person to work with and has problems with work and people skills. Don't blame her for not holding down your job- she gave you a opportunity to work and it was left of to you to do what you needed to do to maintain your job.
