Amazing that in a small town like Mount Morris the taxpayers provide for a full time code enforcer and a part time code enforcer. Yet, drive up Stanley street to the Livingston County campus and you will see a huge junk yard. Clearly in violation..for years. Relatives of the police? It would appear that the government in Mount Morris is outrageously corrupt.

Hey, I drive by that junk yard every day on my way up the hill to work at the hospital. What a rat haven. It just seems to grow and grow and grow. I thought there were laws against open junk yards in residential neighborhoods. What's up? and does anyone think the flag pole makes it look like a park? I know Mt Morris is trying to beautify to change the image but something here smells like the rats that breed there.

Well I drive that road everyday and also live in Mt Morris ,And what a mess that place is on Stanley St. I guess the next time I have old cars I'm going to put them in my yard. If they say anything to me about it, I'll tell them clean there mess up, then I might clean mine, the code for Mt Morris says NO JUNK YARDS. We have eyes. Do You?

i happen to live at the junk yard on stanley st.it's nice to know that are neighbors are such cowards that when most of you people race down stanley st like you are nascar drivers that you have no balls to stop when i'm in the yard and ask why it's taking so long to clean it up.or mybe how about you ask meone across the street why they felt the need to call the police in the middle of the after noon when we were cleaning are junk yard.oh may be all the pot they sit and smoke in the garage was impairing their vision.one more thing, all the vehicles on my property are registed and insured.and hey mybe when we are done putting in the new drive way and all are new windows are put in,you all can come down and have a picnic in our park right under the flag pole!!!!!!

oh,here's another note from the stanley st junk yard .since the state or who ever it was decided that all the pipes running straight thru are property needed to be replaced, apparently some poeple think it's a wonderful place to just walk their dogs or ride 4 wheelers and snowmobiles.and no one seems to mind all the junk that is over the bank across the street and in the gulley next to our property which is not ours and has been there for years before we took residence here.when the state dug up are yard they did not replace the lilic bushes or the grass they destored and replaced with stone.how would you feel if it was your home? if they weren't so worried across the street about getting busted for the pot plants and the daily pot smoking paties they wouldn't have cameras pointed at my property and woundn't have to look at our mess.to you that work on murry hill, stanley street is not the only way up or down.

I just would like to say for the people that have so much to say about the "DUMP", that maybe you should think about the hurtful things you say. You never know what another person is living with, or the situations they are dealing with daily so before you take a seat in judgment ask yourself if all of your homes are up to code. People who live in GLASS HOUSES shouldn't throw stones! So think about that the next time your quick to judge!

It is not MT.MORRIS police departments responsibility, to enforce residental, building, or any other STATE matters of housing enforcment! So check your local laws before you call a whole police departmnet corrupt!

It is just wrong. There is no excuse for the Mount Morris code enforcer. It is his job, his responsibility, and should be his priority. And for those who live amongst and contribute to this junk pile- what gives you the right to openly disrespect the law? just curious.

Hooo ya....so there is a voice out there, eh? Pot growers in Mt. Morris? I find that hard to believe and just across from the well established "Sanford and Son" franchise? Well maybe the rats that are daily seen strolling from the rubbish will have some reason to wander across the street and set up a new camp. Rats love a good smoke I hear. In any case the point is this.....an open dump is not allowed in the village of Mt. Morris, plain and simple. Congrats on the new driveway and windows yet to enhance an eye sore is nothing that requires praise either. Picnic you say? What shall we dine on? BBQ rat? Please take no offense...just take a rake, a shovel, a plow, or whatever and clean the crap up.

look Ralf,i am not blind to the fact that me yard needs cleaning up.we are working hard to improve the appearance of our property.i am a 31yr old mother of one and a step mother of two. my boy friend has been in the junk business for 30 plus yrs.i have only lived on stanley st for 3yrs.in the time that i have lived here i've had 5 abdominal surgies and chemo, for a rare cancer that i was diagnosed with when i was 26.i am sitting here in tears because you would sit here and call myself and family rats.one of the children who live in this house also has a heart decease he was born with and has to have a defibulater in his chest for the rest of his life.so please give me a brake. because between fighting for my life and taking care of my family i will try hard to find the time to clean my yard faster so you don't have to look at it.

amy those who usually say those kind of things dont live much better. That is how it always works. They feed off of making other people feel crappy to make up for their own misfortunes. That is unfortunatly how the world today works and it really is sad. From the sounds of it you really are going through alot and you are still trying to make ends meet to clean up what everyone seems to be calling your "junk yard". I give you all the props in the world. Maybe if people would put themselves in your shoes as anonymous sort of put it, they would see how hard it really is. Those people are the ones that i probably go to work for every day so they can sit home and do nothing just because they are lazy

i didn't call you and your family rats there missy. i suggested that you were yourself trashing your neighbors for the alleged mary jane gardens you don't like. i further suggested that maybe the rats(ie rodents) that live in your still growing "sanford and son" franchise might enjoy a good smoke. regardless, i am sorry to here of your troubles...good luck and god speed. however the ILLEGAL trash pile remains and evens seems to grow each day as i drive by. that the town would allow you to continue this ILLEGAL endeavor in a residential area is the case in point. if you and the boyfriend want to collect trash please do so. i think there must be an area nearby zoned for such an activity as i am sure that within the village limits it is ILLEGAL. This all started as questioning the code enforcer and their neglect at doing their job not as a slam against you or your family. sorry if you took offense. i still am offended by the trash and your attitude that it is okay.

if you go back and read what you yourself wrote on april 23rd you will see why i assumed you called us rats.i really don't think it's any concern of yours what i say about my neighbors!what you don't know is the problems we have had that have nothing to do with our property. which by far out weighs any thing you or anyone else has to say about the "junk yard".this matter still continues to bother you i see, and it's an odviuos waste of my time to continue letting any of your opinions upset me.the code enforcer is doing his job because i have the letters to prove it. i also think i have made myself very clear that i do not think it is ok. one last thing, there is nothing wrong with giving someone your opinion. but there is something seriously wrong when you feel the need to include hurtful things about myself and my family just because we have an obvious problem with our yard. if i have taken what you are saying the wrong way then maybe you should find some other way to say it.do me a favor would you? when our property is cleaned up please drop me a note and let me know if you approve.

ok ;o) now that you know that I did not refer to you as rats that is settled. However, my daily drive (well 5 of 7) takes me by Mt. Trashmore and I don't see much improvement. If the code enforcer is really doing his job and you have the letters to prove it then why is the mess still there?? I promise to write a congratulatons note once green grass and flowers bloom in abundance but last I heard pigs don't fly and with global warming hell will never freeze over, eh?

Ok, now that we know you have "reasons" you cannot pick up the trash in the yard...why can't you ask for help or better yet, how does it get there in the first place...if it doesn't get put there, it can't stay there... What about asking local hlp...Take a little at a time to the curb on garbage days and eventually you will notice a decline! It is upsetting to see us hard working homeowners tryinig to keep our homes/values up and to see it all ruined by our neighbors who have "better things to do" my neighbor likes to drink liquor all day instead of fixing his roof caving in on my driveway... ralph wrote: ok ;o) now that you know that
