Proposal 1 would legalize smoked marijuana for so-called "medical" reasons. Unfortunately, it is deeply flawed and carelessly written.

The law enforcement community would like you to think that the new law over medical marijuana is full of loopholes, I am here to tell you it's just not true. Where is the List of "Loopholes" then? Law enforcement makes too much money on jailing non-violent marijuana users.
You say 'children will have easier access'? Kids today in school have easier access to get marijuana on the Black Market (full of pesticides and Lord knows what else?) than to get cigarettes or a case of beer.
First of all, education is the key in raising our children to make the right choices in life and that each choice has a positive or negative consequence. JUST SAY NO.. doesn't work. The DRUG WAR does not work.
It's always mentioned about California's problems with medical marijuana, but what about the other 11 successful medical marijuana states?
Do you really think that you will be able to smoke a marijuana cigarette in a hospital just because medical marijuana exists? I don't think so. The law is not for public ramped use!
Same with a job. If someone drives a truck for a delivery company, just because they are a medical marijuana user, doesn't mean they will be 'under the influence' while at work.
If a Doctor gives you pills for being sick or having a cold...could it not be a dangerous decision to use while in the same situation?
It's better to regulate and control. Please stop putting people in jail for marijuana.

The American Nurses Association, American Public Health Association, American Academy of HIV Medicine, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Lymphoma Foundation of America, American Academy of HIV Medicine, and dozens of other medical organizations recognize marijuana's medical value.

The Drug Czar says:

Medical marijuana laws lead to “people who are dependent on this drug using the medical excuse to acquire the drug, to use the drug, to remain dependent, to get more teenagers and pre-teenagers to use.”(In fact, teen marijuana use has consistently declined in states with medical marijuana laws

Kids in schools have easer access to get marijuana on a corrupt black market.
