Cage vs Motorcycle... Cage always wins.

Probably the cage was at fault -- both the left turn and the guy who ran him over.

That said, people in cages don't ever learn, so motorcycles need to pick what road they drive on and stay away from traffic as much as possible when on roads like 436.

Sorry for the family who lost their loved one. Hope there are good memories to get you through this.

I had a co-worker who was a biker and would only ride a Harley. Said it was the only bike that could get you out of trouble fast. He also said "If you want to ride on the highway on a sewing machine, that's up to you. But don't do it in front of me."

less than 50% of cycle riders I see on the roads are driving safely, the rest are the speed freaks who zip in and out of traffic like it's a video game. I would never ride a motorcycle because I don't have enough faith in the rest of the drivers out there.
I doubt that's true. More likely, you pay attention to those speed freaks and you ignore those of us who ride with the flow of traffic, so it skews your statistics.

I see motorcyclists all the time and MOST of them, even on crotch rockets, are riding with the flow of traffic.

I am sure you are still lurking here ... if you think it is appropriate to post those words here, why don't you come to Ed's funeral and shout your 'hurahs' about his death to everyone there?

He was a safe rider and a great guy who was just trying to get to work. Someone failed to obey a NO LEFT TURN sign and now his grandkids will have to grow up without him. This is positively NOTHING to cheer about :-(

Well by chance I came to this site today. It is Bike Week and there are a lot of bikes out there. For what it is worth, my life will never be the same. I lost a wonderful husband. The world and his children and grandchildren and family lost a wonderful man. There are no words after 3 years and nothing seems to fit right. After all is said and done, does anyone care what happens to the family, friends, co workers and the rest who knew this man? The life changing event caused by a drug and drinking 19 year old who got slapped on the wrist after he took my husbands life. Well 3 years later and life really hurts without him.
His grieving widow.
