A great man was murdered and his family is trying to patiently await some closure. Why is it that someone's amazing life has been reduced to just a few words? News stories usually cover more in depth information, even if it is a breaking story. We are awaiting answers so that we may try to forge ahead with our lives. Cold-blooded murder usually gets mroe coverage than just a few short blurbs, all of the victim's family and friends are waiting. It is very apparent that justice is not what they are looking for, they only want to sweep this under the rug. They seem to be protecting the KILLER and not the VICTIM.....this is very heart breaking

Shan was my best friend a man who did not have a harmless bone in his body. He was brutally murdered by a man who opened up his home to him and even called Shan's parents the day before telling them how wonderful and loving there son was. Bruce stole Shan's life away from us truly a light in this world. God is lucky to have such a beautiful soul in heaven and I pray that justice will be served. Please I beg of you Bruce come clean about what really happened because every day that you live with this lie the guilt will eat at your heart and darkness will kill your soul. You have the power to ask for forgiveness and to try and make the wrong you have done right. I love Shan like a brother I will miss everything about him and to not hear his voice or see his smile will sadened me for as long as I live. You may have stolen his life but his love will live on through us all and please know that Shan was the best man to have as a friend he would give you the shirt off his back and his smile would light up the room. We will keep your memory alive. I Love You Shan Always & Forever. Love Barbara Your Sister @ Heart

Yes Barb. NOBODY knows of the call that was made to Shan's mother, by Bruce Fuller where he had thanked her for raising such an awesome son. How gut wrenching it must be for Aunty (Shan's mom). How was she to know that same man would murder her son the very next day!! The minute but gargantuan details of the case that have not been made public. WE NEED TO LET PEOPLE KNOW!!!!

This is truly sad for the family members for Mr. Shan, and for Mr. Fuller's family members. But judgment should be withheld until more facts are revealed by the investigation.

We want to know how anyone can get away with shooting a person in their home and not have a more thorough investigation.

This is very sad for Shan's family and a tragedy to our community. Amazing that Bruce Fuller the loose cannon could get away with this tragedy. So far the only thing the police have said is that "no charges have been filed-YET" Hopefully they are doing a thorough investigation and find out how aggressive and confrontational Mr. Fuller is. Many people around here have seen him go into a rage! He is probably out in town bragging about what he did. May justice be served, the judgement day will come for Fuller, hopefully here on earth.

To say Bruce Fuller is a loose canon is an understatement. I have witnessed him being very volatile and unstable. I suspect this to be drug related and wonder how he knew the victim and why he was even at his home

The latest on Mr Fuller is that he was out this weekend telling everyone that Furrukh was a terrorist! This has just gotten crazy and the news media does not seem to care. I feel bad for Farrukh's family that this happened and now Fuller saying these kinds of things about him to justify what was done!

It's sad that Bruce Fuller is such a wimp that he had to use a gun to kill someone that was 100 lbs lighter than him and five inches smaller. Bruce Fuller sounds like a complete nutjob. I knew Farrukh Shan Alam and he was a kind, peaceful, and respectful man. He never talked bad about anybody and always made everyone feel welcome in his presence. There is a fire coming for Bruce Fuller and it is not going to be pretty. This coward Bruce Fuller is going to burn. When I say burn, I don't mean just a slight burn like you might feel in the desert during the Burning Man festival, I mean a burn that comes all over your body that you cannot escape that takes over every single organ of your body until every organ shuts down from heat exhaustion. Bruce Fuller is going to feel the full wrath of God and the fires of Hell. There is no escaping it. Justice will be served. It's not a matter of if, but a matter of when. Nobody has to be worried about what's going to happen to Mr. Fuller. He will get his one way or another.

I heard the news last night, and that moment on I just could not reason myself for this horrendous incident. He and his family are the loving most people I have ever met. And Shan..he was simply a delight to meet with everytime that we see each other, the most caring and sensitive to your needs without saying a word...one might think of Him as an angel....but for sure he is now one of them. Oh God! Please bring patience and justice to the family and friends. We want to know what could one has possbly done to deserve this...Why why why Bruce..why did u?? You evil dark soul..may you burn in hell forever.

The only terrorist here is Bruce Fuller. I think everybody should start contacting the Maitland Police and the FBI to see why Bruce Fuller has not been charged yet. This is getting to be ridiculous. Something is not right here. Let's hope Florida doesn't mess this up like they did with the Casey Anthony trial.

Hopefully anyone with direct knowledge will contact the authorities. I did not know Shan but I do know Bruce a little bit. I have known him socially for many years, not well enough to know his true character, however well enough to know he is a womanizer and a guy who likes to "party.". Does that mean he's capable of murder? I don't know. I've not observed the "rages" that were mentioned here, but do know that a short temper combined with substance abuse can be a lethal combination. What I find extremely odd is the time of day this shooting took place? 8:30 in the morning seems the least likely time for an altercation unless Bruce had been up all night? Anyway, speculation and a spotty reputation are not evidence, which is what is needed for charges to be filed.

It's obvious Bruce was up all night. It probably took two hours to clean up all of his mess. That's why the cops were called at 8:30am. That's what I'm hearing. 6:30am was the last known contact with Shan by someone outside the home. Bruce was heard in the background getting agitated and frantic. He was probably pissed he had to pay back all money Shan let him borrow. What a pathetic loser. All this over money. Money? How more pathetic could Fuller get? The proof is in the pudding. No signs of physical altercation (no bruises, no scratches, etc.) One dead body. You do the math. Does it add up? Tell me what you get.

I knew Shan and Bruce. First off, Shan was the nicest person I have ever met!!! He was the kind of person who you meet and you feel like you have known him his whole life. You felt this way because this was the way he made you feel! Such optimism! Such a loving soul! He was also a father and now his baby will never know what a wonderful man his father was. That is a sad fact.

In regards to Bruce. Loose cannon might be a bit of an understatement but I have witnessed these fits of rage people are mentioning. I don't wish anyone a life in hell but the fact remains that he killed a wonderful human being. There is nothing that justifies that. It is true, justice will be served. I just hope it is here on earth and in the after life! Rest in peace Shany Shan! Let's hope the authorities get their act together and bring justice for you. You did not deserve to die like this. Noone does!!!!!

Shan was a friend of a friend so that's how I got to this news. Don't know any details but from the looks of it, it sure seems this to be a cold blooded murder.

I'd only urge people who believe in Shan's case, to put more pressure on FA police by calling and constantly demanding a fair investigation.

My wife and I have known Shan for a number of years. He lived directly across the street from our previous home and went to school with our children. He was an outgoing, friendly person who had great respect for his religion, his family and his neighbors. Shan always was willing to help others out. The last time I saw him, he helped me move some furniture. Our heart goes out to his parents, his wife and little child over this tragic event
Shawn was not a person to argue, it was not in his nature; and he definitely was not the type of person to start a physical altercation. It is extremely unlikely that Shan would have started a physical altercation with anyone, especially with a man in whose house he was staying as a guest
It is astounding that the man who shot and killed Shan, Bruce Fuller, a travel agent with a history of violent behavior (according to county records,) would be let go by the police after just a few hours of questioning, and without being charged with a crime or requiring any bail. When the actress Lena Clarkson was “accidently” shot and killed in the home of Hollywood mogul Phil Spector, Mr. Spector was immediately taken into custody and only let out on $1 million bail. Eventually Spector was found guilty of second degree murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
A thorough investigation should be performed. Justice should be served even if it won’t bring back the life of this friendly, generous, outstanding, young man.

I also know Shan as a neighbor from Orange County CA. Shan is what I'd call an all "AMERICAN" guy. The idea that this Fuller psychopath would try to imply Shan is a "terrorist" is beyond laughable. Shan had over 1500 people at his funeral; of ALL races, religions, skin colors and background. Shan befriended and helped "PEOPLE". He never asked where they were from, or if they were Muslim, or what their politics were- he was just a GIANT HEARTED people person. He had an amazing God given gift; he could meet a person one time, and he'd forever remember their name, things about their family, things they spoke about: he could'v easily ran for political office one day. He was that talented at knowing how to befriend and understand and enjoy people. Yes,he is from an immigrant family from Pakistan and is of the Muslim faith. SO WHAT? Does this somehow mean he is going to get less justice or be accused of being a "foreigner" or some other STUPID accusation? I am as "white" a white guy as you can find. Some ignorant people would somehow imply I am what defines an "American" - as if I am more American than someone else because I've been here a few generations longer and have lighter colored skin. Shan went to the same schools as me, he grew up in the same streets as me, his family immigrated here when I was a baby. His parents have probably been in America longer than I've been alive. Shan was as AMERICAN as apple pie; he worked hard, he loved his family, he was a good neighbor, he was law abiding, he honored his parents, he loved to boat, jet ski and cook and enjoy friends and worship his God as he chose to do- ALL the hallmarks of what it means to be AMERICAN. Many of Shan's closest friends are 1st or 2nd generation immigrants- also from Pakistan and yes, most are Muslim. LOOK at their backgrounds: they are tremendously diverse and rich in education; doctors, attorneys, engineers, nurses, etc. They are a culture that highly values education and being CONTRIBUTORS to society- lawful, peaceful, decent, kind, good neighbors; everything that encompasses the AMERICAN dream. I'd take 100 of them as my neighbor over one Mr. Fuller or many other long time 5th generation "light skinned" so called Americans. Do Shan's friends and family sometimes dress "different" or wear their traditional Pakistani clothes? Of course, and SO WHAT? Immigrants all throughout American history have maintained ties to homeland ceremonies and traditions and religious ceremonies where they may dress "different" than what someone in a neighborhood may be used too. If you'd just take the time and go meet them and get to know them; they'd even teach you a bit about their culture, and the clothing and what ceremony they are going too and SHAZAM, you might actually LEARN SOMETHING NEW and enrich your life a bit and learn some culture. That's what was so great about Shan- he was a bridge builder; a person who reached out to all equally and helped all equally and shared the richness of his culture and background while also having a 100% love and dedication to being American. We are being patient. We are praying and believing that the detectives are working diligently and that EQUAL JUSTICE FOR ALL will be served. Many 1st and 2nd generation immigrant friends of Shan are hanging their hopes on JUSTICE. They know it's all that separates America from many of the war torn and corrupt countries they unfortunately had to flee. KNOW THIS Mr. Fuller and Florida; if we get even a HINT, a WHIFF of Shan not receiving 100% JUSTICE; 1000 plus people will assemble a financial legal war chest. We'll go to our congress people and seek the FBI for civil rights violations, we'll seek civil charges, we'll hire private investigators and attorneys, we will NOT REST until justice is served. Shan has a diverse, rich, dedicated ARMY of AMERICANS who love him and will defend his honor. So, don't rest easy Mr. Fuller. One way or another, you will be facing legal prosecution.
