Someone should take a look at the City Manager's pay and benefits and compare them to those of the surrounding cities, maybe she should take a pay cut to offset the budget.

I was at that meeting. The city council voted to spend $170,000 to buy a piece of property to create a new park. Then they had the nerve to complain that they didn't have enough money to pay for the fire department. Geem I wonder why?

Seminole County should be one big metro fire department. Slowly it is going that way.
Best thing that could happen

A park actually benefits the citizens that live here. Not some stupdid FF and their outrageous pay and benefits!

There is a big difference. Orlando residents have a department that is highly efficient, has response times of 3-5 minutes and has an ISO rating of 1. Orange County fire dept has 8 minute response times and an ISO rating of 4 or 9, depending on where you live.
Seminole County is a highly efficient department that could well serve the Casselberry area. The Casselberry Dept is a typical, small town department that would best serve it's residents by having Seminole County provide protection.
Orlando residents don't plan to have their service or response times diluted by consolidation. It would not serve us well and it's really up to us...not county residents.

This Clayton Bigsby has a deep heater of Firefighters. His verminous remarks are repeated in every post that he writes. Never a positive work about the good firefighters do.

It would be a better place if no one responds to his HATE for our Public servants.

He says the same garbage over and over and states nothing but false information.

Jake...Please explain how response times would go up? OFD does have response times greater than 8 min in Lake Nona.
