Infant hit with empty glass in Oviedo restaurant fight

A baby girl was struck in the head with an empty glass after an argument over a spitball fight at an Oviedo restaurant Sunday, deputies said.

$600 bail? This young "lady" obviously needs some time to sit down (preferably in a caged-in area) and delve into her aggression (not to mention apathy for the consequences of her aggression). I have an infant son, and if a bratty teenager carelessly hurt my baby (restaurant glasses are HEAVY, especially to a baby's forehead) because she thinks she just got "dissed", I would definitely file charges. I hope the baby was not seriously injured, but either way, this girl should be required to go through a series of therapy sessions. If a spitball fight (18? Sounds more like first graders, all of them) could set her off so much, it's easy to foresee something much more serious happening in the future. I am shocked that she was let go so easily (I can only assume her father paid the $600, anyway). Way to dish out punishment.

I think Southern manners died in the 60's. There was such a thing until the northerners moved in. As far as this girl, she's going to brighten the place up with that face... maybe she will offer favors for the guards.

Hope that the baby is all right. It was an accident and not a criminal offense, but on the other hand the girl should take responsibility for it. I cannot see her being prosecuted for an accident, but can understand her being arrested for leaving. Maybe the court will find that her doing some community service hours at a children's hospital will be considered.
