The set the record straight, the drug was a prescription sleep aid that he was NOT under the influence of while at work. They stay in your system for almost 30 days.
The crash happened after the officer, doing his job catching criminals, chased a guy who was in a car then bailed out and started running on foot. The officer slammed his car in park as he jumped out to chase the guy, but the car continued forward a few feet as he jumped out because of the momentum, and the front corner of the car hit a traffic sign. He caught the guy who might have been breaking into YOUR house today if not.

This guy has no right to wear a uniform and say that he protects the community. He should have been fired. I know him! Mess up once, I can see a second chance. Mess up twice? Maybe, but come on this guy is wreckless. |

To further show what type person this is. He received a prescription, by his own admission that was illegally obtained and he used it. Two additional felony charges I might add. Now, does he really deserve to be a cop?

Have you *ever* taken a medication that your wife or friend had, that you were't necessarily prescribed, even an antibiotic? 99.99% of the population has. Big difference between a sleep aid and cocaine or something, idiot. IF you actually knew the guy you would know he is a good person and a good police officer. This is how I know you are a liar. |

But if he caught someone with a forged perscription he would arrest them, right? You are holding him to a different standard. Anybody else in a different line of work would have been fired. |
And he probably would arrest someone someone for murder, kidnapping, arson, etc too. He didn't forge a prescription. You have no valid point with that statement. |
|
If he caught someone with loose pills in a bottle that didn't have a prescription on it, he'd arrest them. The man is an admitted felon with a badge. Just another example of the corruption of one of the worst small town police agencies in Central Florida. |
|
99% of the population has taken someone else's prescriptions? No, 99% of the populations hasn't done that. I haven't, ever. Nor have I ever given any of my prescriptions away. Step away from whatever it is you are on, and come back to the real world. You have a very skewed view like the rest of the Casselberry police department. Not everyone not a cop is doing something wrong. And you wonder why people think cops are power-hungry morons with no common sense. |
|
Actually, probably not. See, not all prescription pills are illegal to have, even without one. Look it up, read the law, before you post your ignorance. I know that might require you to read something and educate yourself beyond your incorrect opinion, but I have faith you can do it. |
|
What planet are you from? How do you figure that that a guy who takes a sleep aid pill because he hadn't been able to sleep for several nights and was desparate for rest, is power hungry moron with no common sense? I don't see the coorelation between wanting sleep and taking a sleeping pill, and being a power hungry moron. |

YOUR WRONG !! Rush Limbaugh was ARRESTED for having Viagra with another persons name on the prescription bottle. The Law is the same for ALL people. Your Cop friend is a criminal. |

Why does everyone say police get special treatment and he should automatically be fired. If the same thing happened to the average non-police person nobody would even care. Typicall news media looking to bash the cops. If the average joe was caught with a persription sleep aid they would probably get to plead no contest and pay a 450 dollar fine and *mabey* some probation.. Its really no different than the punishment this Officer got. 80 hours of lost pay is probably over $2000.00 easy.

All the officer has to have is PROBABLE CAUSE to believe the pills are listed under the C.S.A. to ARREST someone. Any generic pills could be suspect. YOU might want to try thinking like a L.E.O., instead of a quack, but I don't have much faith that you can do it. |
