So now marriage is defined as a union of procreation? Our 30-plus years of love, friendship and partnership of happiness (man and woman in a legal marriage) is deemed invalid as we were not blessed with children? Au contraire all you narrow-minded, cynical, not to mention downright not nice people! Get over your unfounded prejudice.
I always get a kick out of people who pretend to be so loving while they engage in hateful speech toward those who hold a different opinion.

To the woman at the Egg Hunt: Why didn't you say something to her there? Step up and call her out on it! If you pointed it out, all of the other parents would have noticed and made a stink too, and problem solved! Writing to a newspaper column and getting it published weeks later did nothing to shame or embarrass that mother into "parenting" her child, and it did nothing to help ensure that the child was taught proper manners and respect. The child, as a "toddler", wouldn't have known she was doing anything wrong unless someone told her.

And to the second post about childless marriages being invalid, I agree 110%. The world would be a lot better off if more couples *didn't* have children! I shouldn't have to be a brood mare just to be a "good wife", and I shouldn't have to force my husband into fatherhood (which we've discussed, at length, many times, and agreed that neither of us want children) just so my marriage can be validated in front of a bunch of people I don't care about. There are only two people's opinion about my marriage that I care about; mine, and my husband's. Other people's opinions don't matter, because my marriage has nothing to do with them or their lives, so they can keep their noses out of it!
