Well I guess to live on this planet to be earth friendly we should only walk on our own feet for transportation and definitely have only one very very small house live at 50 degrees in rhe winter and ambient temp in the summer. I choose to live in comfort and Al G in his 10,000+ sq ft house chooses the same. Maybe Al can land his g4 at your airport someday.
well..........if there was a airport here....that might work.....but just alot of trees, deers, wild boar, shunks, possum, racoon, rattlesnakes, gators, water mocs.....but if likes this sort of thing.....come on down....oh and swamp.....gotta be careful of those darn swamps..........
as far as the living thing.....we keep our therm in a resonable setting.....walk as much as possible.....I ride an electric bike to work......or horse to the store.......

Horses emit a good bit of methane gas and their hooves are definitely not earth friendly. Your electric bike causes a good bit of coal to be burned which causes greenhouse gasses and Mr Gore can fly into glynco to see you which is only a small drive from Townsend. I really suspected that that you lived in Iotla Valley since you were involved in that discussion.

Well..as I love my dear friends(the horses)......I do not have to buy fertilizer for my garden....do you grow your own food.....may need to.....also who said it was just an electric bike?.....are you watching me ????? if so you would know I also have a regular pedal bike....are you against that also....? After all I am a grandmother.....but I am sure you are not concerned about health..
As long as I have relatives and family, in and around all of N.C., I suppose I will continue to be in "that" discussion.....as long as there are human graves being dug up and desecrated. This also has me in other "discussions" in "other" states. There are areas left where people still care about a person's final resting place remaining a RESTING PLACE..as I have discussed this issue with our large group World-wide, many all know of this airport strip...and historical/heritage/burrial site,.......(but this is for those that care)....are you in this group....or with those that do not?
I'm glad you are very familiar with Glynco.....this lets me know you also are aware of the FLETCO....good.Now that we have discussed some of the sights in and around Brunswick,Ga.....next?
Will you be needing further info?

do not forgetanother "public hearing"....oct.29th at the Grahan county community center. this follows the oct 27th hearing at the ramsy center and oct 28th hearing ath the Stecoah valley center concerning US 74 relocation project. Roads involved so far: US 74, US 129 NC 28,and US 19 and State Rd 1121. The project number is A-0009 B &C Ed Lewis is the contact at ncdot.

then on the Macon News there is a Macon county voter's guide. Comments from all canidates. I found Joe Collins statement to question #3 VERY interesting......"involem ent of town residents on town projects has never been a problem"... Realy? You mean he is ready to listen now? What a change.
Then on the Macon News oct 15th, 2009 Franklin canidates have their say at LWV forum.......another comment of Collins was very enteresting,....." Collins said the town will always honor the trust and keep the mound for the citizens of Franklin". Realy? So.....while I am greatly pleased he wants to keep the Nikwasi Mound safe and even says he will honor the trust.......less see.......all the burrials at the airport site..........they are being "honored"?
An election sure brings out enteresting comments....from those running. After they get a position.........usualy a different story.....I remember being told to write questions and that they would be answered....then I found out in an article.....per Collins,....." no answers needed to be given......". Public imput: it is either welcomed or not.

Then in the Macon News on the issue of Health reform there were alot of very good letters sent in. I truely enjoyed the one titled"Constitution says 'We the People' by Esbie Tarr of Franklin,Nc.
This was a GREAT article.

This depends on what you happen to value the most, history/preservation of land or economic growth.

There is room for both if done properly and with respect for all, including following the laws set down to accomplish this. Since I come from a native background ,respect for the land ,animals, and people were instilled in me at a very young age.

I come from a native background too but because at one time indigenous people were buried in an area should not make it automatically sacred ground. Most of the anti airport noise comes from nimby people. The ball fields in Franklin and the swimming pool would not exist in their present location in todays climate and many of the roads we drive on would probably not exist.

It is exactly because people are burried there that makes the ground sacred. When the First Peoples of Turtle Island were buried, depending on the Nation, there were certain types of prayers for each. A grave is sacred. This is the issue.
