Let's recap:

The SonShine Center has been shut down.
Both pastors have been called away by the Lord to other works.
The community outreach (annex) has been shut down.
The Pharisees have seized control of operations.
Rumor has it a former deacon (that means "servant" by the way) is going to be reinstated after he threw a little girl fit and quit because he couldn't have his way. That will probably be done WITHOUT going to the church for approval. That should be the final nail in the coffin.

Please remind us who threw the "little Girl Fit"?

The idea of the SonShine Center was wonderful. A ministry that focuses on children is awesome. But let's face it, this particular ministry was not working. It was just tearing the church apart. Do you really think that a church that is so divided and ugly is a place for a children's ministry? Don't get me wrong, CFBC is my church, but it's not in the greatest spiritual condition right now, and all focus needs to be on mending that.

Pastors come and go. We were lucky enough to have a true man of God for many years previously, but that is in no way the norm. Just because a pastor left does not mean the church is done.

The annex is definitely not something that had the power to destroy the church either. Sure, it was a nice gesture to those that needed it, but if the people that used those services quit coming to church because it closed, then that dynamic wasn't really working in the first place.

Who are these Pharisees you are speaking of exactly? Because I have a pretty good idea and those people ran our church fine for many years. They have the most time invested in the church and you don't see their posts all over these forums because they are better than that. I thought I was as well, but someone HAS to say something. They have changed a lot of lives, mine being one of them. There are so many young people they have helped through various programs at our church that have nothing but good things to say about them. Of course you may not agree with all of their decisions, but it can be worked out respectfully.

As far as this Deacon goes, once again, if it is who I think it is that is so disrespectful. He is such a good man and has put so much into that church. Can I just ask you, what has he done to you personally? Have you ever actually had a conversation with him? Rumors are not something that you can solidly base your opinion of a person off of. And "little girl fit"? Him leaving, fairly quietly at that, was not throwing a little girl fit. If anything all of the posts tearing him down on various boards on here were little girl fits. And as far as things being done without the church's approval, that all came with the last pastor. I'm not here to tear John down, but that didn't happen before he came. That wasn't the deacons that were doing that, and if that's what you were led to believe then it is truly time to wake up. They care about the church, they're not out to destroy it. It hurts them to see it this way. Just talk to one of them, I know I have. And it saddens me that so many good people are getting blamed for these problems.

If you have nothing positive to say about CFBC, then cut your ties and get on your way. Your negativity does not help, and maybe you can use that energy to find somewhere that satisfies you. In all honesty, if you are unhappy, you staying around is a detriment to the church and stunts your spiritual growth, so no one's is gaining anything. Please, I beg of you, just stop. Stop attacking respectable people. If you have a problem with someone that you can't overcome, speak with them, don't publicly humiliate them. I truly do hope you find a church that satisfies you.

I loved the Sonshine Center & the ministry to the low income families. It was not able to run on it's own financially because of the low income families unable to pay the full tutition & depended on the State to subsidize. Our state of IL is broke financially & they dropped funding the Sonshine Center. Closing the Sonshine Center had nothing to do with quote "the spiritual condition of the Church".
The Spiritual condition of the Church was the result of the length of time the Minister was here & not feeding the flock. I was not fed, edified, encouraged & would leave the services deflated. When the Minister is not taking care of the flock they scatter as was referenced yesterday from Ezekiel 34. We need a spirit filled Minister that preaches the truth from the Word not their interpretation that in many cases was not Biblical. Ministers have a great responsibility as they are accountable for their flock & will have to answer to God.

I just think all the churchs around need to take a look and make sure who they are working for. We can't serve two masters.

John was a wonderful pastor it is just alot of people do not want there toes stepped on. They would like a minister to tell them that it is okay to be better then everyone else. It is okay to do what you are doing even if it doesn't go with the will of God. John brought that to the people.

You have to wonder with the church stopping the things that were being outreached. Though that church doesn't want poor people in the church because they don't have a lot of money to give.

As Christians we must take a look around us and realize the end times are coming. Are you more worried about yourself or what God wants?

John wasn't afraid to step on toes. We all need that to grow.

You want to see something interesting, on facebook look up John Blaylock and scroll down to comments by Mary Cocmos Yexley, that should give some insight into why there is so much unrest. People like that, are the ones who keep things stirred up.

If that is the case, then you are one of the many deceived by Satan, allowing your heart to be hardened and your ears closed to the message. MANY, MANY people were fed, encouraged, and inflated during his short time at CFBC as evidenced by the number of salvations...far more than were previously led to the Lord in the history of the church leadership.

Judge not that ye be not judged! Matt 7:1
You have no idea what my heart believes or my relationship is to God.
Where are all these that professed? People that profess & do not possess fall away like the parable of the sower & the soil Luke 8:4-15

Another thing I talked to John about a problem, when he first came & he said that he would see that it changed he would not have that in the Church but he lied to me as he did nothing!

So if you are such a theologian, there is a position open in the church you are obviously perfectly suited for. Didn't you just make an admonishment not to judge? That's being...oh, what is the word I'm looking for...oh, yeah...hypocritical.

There you go again judging without any facts!

I feel you should move to Salem & attend John's Church since you can't get over he is gone & causing discord among the brethren Prov. 6 16-19

Since you seem proud of your knowledge of Bible verses, let's not forget Acts 10:29-31:

"29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. 31 Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears."

History always repeats itself.

You cannot take Acts 20:29-31 out of context.
Paul was talking about Apostasy, that when he was gone false teachers would come in & try to undermine his teachings. Paul was caught up to heaven & taught the gospel by the risen Christ. It was the new Grace Dispensation. Paul is the apostle of the Gentiles & he magnified his office Rom 11:13

Apostasy and out of context...exactly...that describes that useless soapbox rant on Ezekiel 34 that we had to suffer through.
