I have lived in Casey since grade school. This town has such a closed snobbish social circle. The affluent women focus on gossip and putting others down to raise themselves up in each others eyes. Back-stabbing is prevalent in every social circle among the upper class in our small community. These same women attend church and pretend to be Christians on Sunday but won't speak to you when they meet you in the grocery store.

I TOTALLY understand how you feel. I moved away from Casey last summer. I'm in my 20's and the younger women are just the same. Small town minds and only interested in gossiping and putting others down to raise themselves up. The CCC group is one of the worst. You should move to a larger town. The town of Casey will never change. Good Luck Unique! Sara

I totally agree with the other two. If you don't have the money or the right name..you are a nobody.

I don't live in Casey but have worked in the town for a while. The town is paying the price for the small-minded attitudes (women and men). Casey is drying up as far as businesses. There is no where to shop. The affluent few are buying all the buildings uptown and making it their own little community. The women especially have that smug "I am better than you" attitude and are leading their men around by a ring in the nose! So slowly but surely this town is reaping what it deserves. I am SOOOOOO glad I don't live here!

Some of the girls at work have been talking about this site and comments and asked me to read/post my comments.
I have to wonder why the female population of the City of Casey seem so twisted. My revenge is to 'Be Happy' that makes me smile just to type it because I have succeeded. Most of the women you are all talking about cannot and never will be happy. Their joy is in being deceitful, making up lies & putting down others. How sad that this town is KNOWN for this type of woman.

I grew up in casey, hated it. The back stabbing starts and is trained by living and going to school there. I dont see nearly the same amount anywhere eles. I was one who was back stabbed to much, i ran from casey and will never go back.

I barely survived the Casey hurtful attitude as they tried to destroy me & my reputation. There are so many fake women and they have docile little men running behind them as they wreck havoc with people lives by making up lies and spreading their gossip. Go visit most churches, the beauty salon, the paper, Curves, the CCC, or some of the womens' group in Casey - all you see is dried up women in their 30,40's and 50 who are miserable and putting other women down to make themselves feel worthy. It's a female sickness that has somehow gobbled up this town.

I have enjoyed reading the posts too Walker! There are a few good women in this town that I know of but they are few and far between. C.H. is one of the most sincere, kind people that I have known in this town. Its too bad that the majority of women here have made a bad name for the the few good ones. I avoid all of them that I can. I also moved away but still work in this town. They run most of the good honest women away or thrive on gossip about other women. The town is falling apart as is seen in the lack of business uptown and shopping choices.

I moved to KZ when I got married a short time ago. I married into a family that is one of the "IN" families who try to run this town. They have never accepted me and it's very difficult to live here. The main woman in the family spends most of the family get-togethers TALKING HORRIBLE about her own family so you have to show up to protect yourself!!! Or she makes up gossip about the women in town she doesn't like! She can't even keep her husband happy and at home!!! I hate it here!!!!

Sorry for not responding sooner...been really busy. I lived in Casey for around 25 years, raised my family there.....my kids went to the Casey schools in the 70's. I was unaware that the town is so hateful now. I don't recall it being that way...maybe there is an epidemic of PMS in Casey??

casey is a sad place to be, i have my grave plot there, and thats really about what i think about that town, a place of death. i would have to be dead to ever go back there. even the high school it's self has died.....
the rich get richer and the poor get poorer and if ya dont have good transportation and stuck with only in town jobs, its even worse.

the school system doesnt help because some of the negative women are in the system, i know that first hand. if you dont come from one of the family's with money and power, your left in the hole as a kid and grow up thinking that!

My husband and myself made the mistake of retiring in Casey, about 14 years ago. Casey has never been known as friendly little town, and I wonder if it ever will become a "hometown" to be proud of. All of our friends live else where, as we will be considering relocating because of the down trend here in Casey.

People just do not seem to respect one another, nor do they care about living conditions the majority of the poor people in this town have to endure, as long as they are making money, all is good and well with this town. Some of the housing conditions are absolutely unsafe and unhealthy for families to be living in, yet nothing is done to correct this situation.

Someone mentioned that a political change needs to be done here, well hopefully with the new council members that will eventually take place. There is so much wrong with Casey, it's going to take some careful considerations before anyone sees any changes.

The business situation in the downtown area has been forced into a situation of just throwing in the towel, with no help or concerns from the people that could make a differance.

The Chamber of Commerce holds all the functions either at the Park or the schools, what is the point in even belonging to that when they do NOTHING for the downtown area and the real heart of this town ?

Casey Industries, they work at trying to get new industry to come to Casey, and yes, we have a wonderful school system, wonderful Library, absolutely beautiful Park....but unfit housing from one end of town to another and a downtown area that shows what people really think of Casey.

City council and Mayor, humm, another no help, the powers that be seem to be more interested in their own agenda than the people that elected them in the first place. History has shown where their interests lay.

People may not choose to agree with me, but that's your choice, and I respect that. It's time that someone is not afraid to speak the truth about Casey.

I was told by a friend in another town that Casey's sports fans are so disrespectful at games that they stand up and turn their backs at the opposing teams when they are introduced at games, what does that show our children and future leaders ??

Hello

I lived in Westfield Casey area growing. Moved when I was in early 20's
One thing I remember about Casey.
The Key Parties. lol
A group of so called society people of Casey. so they thought they were anyway, used to have get togethers. Men would throw keys on table. Gals would pick up key. That is the guy she would have a great roll in the hay later in the eve.
I guess maybe every town has the nasty folks.
Humm in my mind, they do not seem like great leaders of town or anything else.

Wow - this posting has gotten more interesting!! Let's keep it going! I too have heard about the 'key' club. It's probably the only thing that kept marriages together in those days! Hats off to all of you ladies. I wonder what the men think? Maybe we should start a MEN of Casey forum. LOL...
