Fire burning south of Albuquerque

A brush fire is burning south of the Metro Albuquerque area tonight. Fire officials say the fire is burning between Belen and Veguita in the area of Highways 346 and 304 in Valencia County.

There is a heavy smell of smoke evident on S337 close to Escabosa....probably from this fire.

The fire is about 8 acres, State Forestry, Valencia County Fire Departments and Socorro County Fire Departments are on the scene.

Its amazing The media only covers fires along the Bosque,
