Cold Case: Investigators try to identify girl found in Campbell County 20 years ago

The TBI needs your help in cracking a Campbell County cold case from more than 20 years ago.

My garage was broken into and my tools were stolen. I was at work so my wife filed the reports. She asked the cops if they were going to do anything and why didnt they at least take fingerprints and they said they didnt have to equiptment lol. This is effing Mayberry! Barney Fife is more intelligent then the cops around here.

That is really sad.I pray that some way and somehow this childs killer (if he/she isn't dead already) is brought to justice.

The cops can't help it if they don't have the equipment for fingerprinting! Maybe, you need to talk to our sheriff and see if he can possibly get some funding for much needed equipment. I know we have some sorry cops, but we also have some good ones. They can only work with what they have. I like Barney Fife, and I think Mayberry is a cute little town.

Yes it is! I love John Walsh. I have read several of his books, and he and his wife are very strong and loving people.

Yeah.He is a really great guy.He has
solved alot of crimes.It is sad that he lost his child to a sadistic murderer.Didn't the man that killed his son die in prison or something??

To who what when where:Click on full story at top of page.It is sad this female child approx.age 13 yrs.was found in Apr.1985 by someone picking greens along side the road.Her body was dumped amongst some garbage in Caryville.The roots of a tree had grown into her skull.

Her killer was likely local and she is thought to be from the Ohio area.Whoever dumped her knew the terrain and knew they could put her body there so it would be hard to find.??Kinda puzzling since that site was visited often.

Thank you for the info. I will def. Check out the full story. I was born in 1984 and lived in lafollette at the time. I'm sure my mom remembers this story.
