She just called to to cancel my leg waxing appointment the DAY BEFORE my tropical vacation! I'm so upset. She said the AC wasn't working that well so she couldn't do the appt. I asked if I could come in anyway, and she wouldn't let me. So unprofessional. I bought a living social coupon for this service specifically because I was going on a beach vacation and I scheduled the appt MONTHS in advance. Now I have no time or $ to get this done somewhere else because she cancelled the DAY OF the appt and I already bought the coupon. Now I'm stuck with this coupon I can't use and hairy legs. Do not rely on this spa for your special occasions!

- Ms upset- I hope you had a great vacation; it sounds like you needed to relax. It seems you wrote your comment within a few days of the cancellation and therefore, I would say there's a very good chance it's quite hot in Raleigh in the middle of July. I would venture to say you would like AC more than not having any this time of year. You may also want to know that if wax does not harden correctly, it will not remove hardly any of, if any of, your hair and could pull your skin more because the tautness is not able to occur for easier removal. Therefore it would be painful and I do believe that would upset you more than your appointment being cancelled. It sounds like you are thinking your health interest was handled unprofessionally instead of being a priority. From what you indicate I understand Michelle did keep your health a priority. Sometimes things happen that are not in anyone's control. When I saw Michelle she kept my health in the forefront over hair being removed and she was great.

I purchased a Zspot deal for The Works Facial with Michelle and while checking out the web site found that she also does waxings so I scheduled two sessions for waxings which were my first ever waxing experiences. Since this was my first waxing experience I obviously do not have anything to compare it to, but I have to say that Michelle was so absolutely awesome I cannot imagine having my future waxings done by anyone else. She was so gentle, professional, and efficient, and so meticulous to make sure the results were nearly perfect. I really wasn't nervous even though I was having my full back, chest, abdomen, full brazillian, underarms, and full legs done over the two sessions, had I been nervous Michelle's method and professionalism would have calmed me down to where I wouldn't have been the least bit nervous or uncomfortable. If you want an amazing waxing experience, you have to go see Michelle. She was great.

Just had a facial today, 4 hr later a rash started appearing on my chin. Michelle is using gloves for the facial and goes to work on her computer while working on me, she does not take the gloves off and on, so I a guessing that something transferred on to my face that way.

I would NEVER recommend this place. I had such a horrible experience with staff ruddness that I can honestly say I am ashamed to say we are in the same line of work. I drove well over an hour and a half after looking forward to my appointment with Deanna Graves for over 2 months only to be greeted by shear hatefulness. Here's how it went down:
Not realizing they had a no child policy, I brought my 12yo son with me- a quiet child who came in reading. She informed me, quiet harshly, about the no child policy- a policy put in place due to 'noise', which, ok, I understand. But when the 'child' is reading quietly and my offer to have him sit in the room with us is turned down by a blunt "No" while she snaps a sheet in my face (she was making up the table) and then I'm told it wouldn't matter if I spoke to the owner... I don't even have blood pressure problems and my blood pressure was sky high when I left- I know cause I stopped to check it because I developed a horrible headache after said experience.
I'm not upset because I was refused service due to an oversight of policies on my behalf, I am upset because of the way the situation was handled. I would NEVER treat ANY client that way! There was never an offer to reschedule (not that I would have taken it) or an apology for the lack of clarity or mix-up. I hear a lot of good things about Michelle, and if I was her I would get as far away from that Deanna girl as I possibly could before she ruined my reputation along with her own.
