love/like/hate Cary?

Unless you husband doesn't mind hanging out with the illegal aliens at Lowes or Home Depot and working for $10 an hour, I suggest you don't come to North Carolina. We have the highest illegal alien population in the South and the only jobs left for American's is the service industry.

Avoid this area unless you are married have 2.5 kids, like to stay home, try to live outside of your means then its for you.

THe entire Raleigh Durham Cary area is a BORE! I so regret moving here. Biggest mistake of my life and trust me I am not alone. It is so hick and country here compared to big metros like DC, Atlanta, Phila and so on.

WOW!! I am glad I found this blog. My husbands job brought us down here from NY and I hate it here. I have NEVER had anything close to a friend that has my back. We have been here 13 years!! I live in Preston in Cary, and what a bunch of back stabbing women. There are days where I just can't believe I live here. You have to walk on egg shells because these women will make a mountain out of a mole hill just looking for something to gossip about.They have too much time with nothing to do so they are in everyones buisness!!

That's the chance you take living in a neighborhood like Preston.
The smaller neighborhoods aren't so much like that. I really like my neighborhood and we have some close friends here. I didn't grow up here but am a native of Small Town NC and compared to that I love Cary. Mostly I love all that Cary has to offer.
Try making friends outside of Preston and you may have better luck.
