New Madrid is paying Pemiscot county $30 a day per inmate. Still doesn't seem like it would be enough to cover it.

Closed their jail because their insurance won't renew the policy. It's my understanding they will make the appropriate changes to be renewed and then open up again. I may be wrong. That's the way I understood it.

How this 200 a week 3 people all meals all utilities cable everything saying to much skip weeks tired of being used had to vent!!!

We lost the Federal prisoners to Cape. There is money to be made housing prisoners as proven by privately owned prisons across the country. I don't look for N.M. to clean up there problem in
6 months (goody for us). If the amount is $30, then that's more than our local towns pay to house municipal prisoners. Scott County tried to get them. Finally some good news.
