Well, things don’t look good on the “fiscal Cliff” front. Obama wants to jack taxes up on everyone making $250,000 or more, while not cutting anything from entitlements. He feels he owes it to the hoards of non-tax paying democrats to stick it to the rich. It’s an undisputed fact that raising the tax rates on this group will not make a dent in the deficit. In fact, it will make things worse if done without a comparable cut on the spending side of the equation. All those small businesses that employ most Americans will cut staff worst case, cut or hold down pay for sure. That will mean less working taxpayers to foot the bill. I guess Obama figures, since they’re not working but drawing unemployment instead, they will become democrats. He’s thinking win-win…

Why don’t they just implement the Simpson Boles plan? That was a bipartisan plan that the President himself set up. He should be able to support such a plan. It’s a balanced approach that actually cuts into the deficit, and that was what the president once said he would support.

But now he can’t. He owes our tax money to his supporters for voter payback. They want blood and he intends to give it to them. Besides, he wants to pass a slew of new spending programs that will only make the deficit worse. Obamacare is going to be the last nail in the coffin of American way of life.

So why are you worried then? You're not wealthy. If you were, you wouldn't in Topix 24-7 bashing trashing name calling those who oppose your views and in the same time posting scripture from the bible.

Well gene, really I just posted this bit of truth so you could talk some hate and use that "Natural Born Killer" name somewhere besides the Prayers for Sandy Hook thread. You just sound stupid with that attitude on that thread (more stupid than usual)...

I figured you were about to blow a gasket and needed to vent. You should thank me.

And I didn't figure you would have anything intelligent to say about the Fiscal cliff either. You don't disappoint...lol

What’s my reason for wanting a truly balanced plan?

The people I work for are rich. I know what they will do when their taxes go up and their insurance costs per employee jump because of Obamacare.

It won’t be good for the employees, that’s for sure

If you don't want to be known as ignorant, don't post on a thread asking for prayers for the kids from Sandy Hook with a handle like "Natural Born Killer". That makes you look stupidly ignorant to most people and at the very best, an insensitive moron to everybody else. Your age has nothing to do with it.

And, that is why most people think you are gene. He shares that mentally twisted, trollsome trait with you.

You're too stupid to be a natural born killer. Maybe a natural born pile of shit, but your no killer.

Uh oh killer....you struck a nerve LOL
Comrade, how in the world do you actually smile in life? You have to be the most negative MF'er I've ever read on the internet. You're either bashing, bitching, pissing, moaning, complaining, or crying like the attention seeking hypocrite you are in TOPIX, and we all know its for attention only. 2-3 takes you seriously...the rest? We sit and read your hatred racist crap and you just supply us with more ammo to point out what type of person you really are.
By the way, did some checking with some friends in Cooter. They said this sounds exactly like Dopug E claims you are. So why hide your identity? When people in Cooter knows what a racist snob you are, EVERYBODY knows what a racist snob you are in life and Topix.

Name calling. That's all you have to fight your battles with isn't it? Everything else you put in here is "copied and paste" I am a Natural Born Killer and I am not Gene. My job in the Marines was to "kill" and that's what I did and I did it so people like you could continue to trash talk the govt and the country that gives you those freedoms. What have you done for country other than run it into the ground? I fought in Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom while people like you were more woried about how much attention you were or were not getting online. I also post under the name JARHEAD.

Merry Christmas you coward piece of afterbirth

So you think you are a "natural" born killer?? That you were born to kill? That it is a natural thing for you?? If you think being a natural born killer is a good thing, you are sick. Maybe you need to go into a VA hospital and have them talk with you. Another thing,Ive never heard a veteran talk about their duty to kill anyone. They see it as something they had to do not something they wanted or enjoyed doing. You need help.

WASHINGTON — No matter what Congress does to address the year-end fiscal cliff, it's already too late for employers to accurately withhold income taxes from January paychecks, unless all the current tax rates remain unchanged, which is an unlikely scenario.

Social Security payroll taxes are set to increase on Jan. 1, so workers should immediately feel the squeeze of a 2 percent cut in their take-home pay. But as talks drag on over how to address other year-end tax increases, the Internal Revenue Service has delayed releasing income tax withholding tables for 2013.

As a result, employers are planning to withhold income taxes at the 2012 rates, at least for the first one or two paychecks of the year, said Michael O'Toole of the American Payroll Association.

A taxpayer making between $50,000 and $75,000 would get an average tax increase of $2,400, according to the Tax Policy Center, a Washington research group. If the worker is paid every two weeks, that's about $92 a paycheck, on average.

Someone making between $75,000 and $100,000 would get a tax increase averaging nearly $3,700. If the worker is paid every two weeks, that's about $142 a paycheck.

You sound one sided. Explain why the Republicans wouldnt support Boehners plan? Obama has given congress enough time this should have been settled months ago. The Republicans finally ran out of filibusters on everything the Democrats sent from the Senate to the House, even after Mitch McConnell had to filibuster his own bill.

Republicans wouldn’t support his plan because the president wouldn’t put any meaningful cuts to entitlements on the table. He had already said Boehner’s plan was dead in the water and he would not sign it, even if the democratically controlled senate did pass it (which Reid said would never happen). Quite a few republicans refused to vote even for a tax cut on Millionaires when the president refused to do anything on spending. It would have been meaningless gestures anyway. Obama can get his “revenge” on the rich without the help of republicans.

America does have a spending problem, not a taxation problem. They all know that raising taxes on those who pay taxes will only run money away from the country. Just look at the history of past tax rate increases or check out the problems in California or New York. The wealthy will only let the government take so much out of their pockets before they leave the country or get a better tax lawyer, that’s a proven fact.

It’s all for show anyway. They are all liars with Obama being the biggest of all. Why give him more of our money to buy votes with. Our money is what gives them their power. They don’t care about you, your kids or your grandkids. They are consumed with their own greed.

Well what I dont understand is your defending of the tax cuts on the rich when its clear to me you are NOT rich. I think you base your summaries of congress and their actions all focused on one thing and that is you hate Obama to the point that you blame him for everything stemming from capitol hill right down to any flu epidemic! Its an issue when a president sees a problem and whats fair for the country but as for your views the only issue is your hatred of Obama and its quite clear you have some issues and I dont think they are all political.

I've already told him the same thing. He hates Obama because he is black and blames him for everything. If it rains its Obama's fault. If it thunders its Obama's fault. He is a troll trolling along baiting topics for attention span only.

Like I said before, I'm not rich but the people I work for are. I like to get a raise every now and then, I like a little profit sharing, I like my company to offer the best insurance I can get for the best price and I want them to stay competitive in the market. I realize the more the company makes, the better the workforce does.

Besides, with Obama care, we are all going to take a tax hit anyway, rich, middle class and working poor. I'd rather the government cut some on the spending side and leave the tax rates alone. Americans pay enough taxes.

I guess if you are a freeloader who sucks off the government tit, it doesn’t matter to you how much the tax payer’s fork over, but to the working class who depend on the rich for jobs and income, it does. I realize that's over your head, but that’s just the way it is.

It doesn’t really matter what you or I think anyway, guest. Obama will get what he wants. Taxes are going to go way up for all of us. Unless Obama gets a blank check on the debt ceiling and all the tax increases he is asking for, we are going over the cliff. And, he has called the House Speaker from Hawaii and told him he will use his inauguration and the state of the union address to be sure all Americans know, it is the republican’s fault their taxes went up. Even if he gets everything he wants tax wise, he plans on doing that, so I say don’t give him anything.

He’s the president, let him try and be a leader, even if he wants to lead us over the cliff. Republicans are in a no win situation. May as well let him do as he wishes and let the cards fall where they may. Unfortunately, the best thing the Republicans can do is try and inform the public why what happened, happened. They have no cards to play. America voted for a socialist and that’s what we’ve got.
You may not admit it, but I'll bet you don't even agree with his policies before the next 4 years have gone by.
