I guess that's the reason for everyone else having varying prices to huh? Lol what an ignorant statement, learn how gas is priced before making yourself look dumb.

I always buy from local businesses. I work in kennett so it makes sense for me to fill up there bc I need all the extra income. Driving to work takes a lot of money I could use on bills and food to feed my family. Just trying to help someone else out.

Caruthersville & Hayti has the highest gas prices I've saw the past month. South & northern towns are cheaper and in tennesee and Arkansas. Looks like a markup on price when it could be less.

I remember that when 9/11 hit. I was in line behind a bunch of cars when the price changed again. That was wrong to take advantage of such a tradgedy to make a profit off people that most can't even afford to put gas in car just to get to work. I quit getting gas there for years after he pulled that scheme.

Are you saying the gas is bad or water is put in it? I've heard of watered down gas. I don't know what that is it means. Gas is cheaper in other towns close to home! Is it priced higher because there isn't competition here?

Price is based on how much they get it from their supplier for. The supplier price is based on how much the crude oil cost them. It is against the law to price gouge gas (and easy to get caught), so everything you read here is nothing but a conspiracy...

Also, before complaining your local gas is to high, why not check the prices of large metropolitan areas where it's $3.50+. We are lucky enough to have a refinery only 5-10 miles from our town.

Really. Where is this refinery 5-10 miles from
here? I'd like to apply for a job there.

It is STILL 2.99 in Hayti & Cville. Why hasn't it went down any the past 2 weeks? It keeps going down in surrounding towns!
Went to Geogia & Nashville a few weeks ago and saw gas cheaper than what it was here.
Something can't be right. I think it could be cheaper.
If one gas station in Hayti or Cville goes down they all will to match it.

Caruthersville & Hayti gas price as of 11-03-13 is $2.99.
Kennett is 2.79

Anyone want to add a nearby or distant town and we can see how it keeps changing or not changing as the others?

It might not be "price gouging" but bet it isn't going down due to the businesses making extra profit. Knowing that people here doesn't have too many other options. Glad I work in Kennett & can fill up there for 2.79 in the morning.
