God bless those who were the victims of this unspeakable evil and comfort those who loved them.

We have a culture drifting ever farther away from the security of a two parent home, away from a belief in something greater than self and a culture devoid of self reliance and personal responsibility. A society that combines playing ‘Total Recall’ for entertainment with ‘I’m the victim’ attitude is a new and very dangerous thing. In such a culture you will have outliers who push the edges of the norm.

The God given human emotions of love, true empathy for those who suffer and respect for all has gone out the window over the past couple of generations. Unless and until we change America back to a society that trumpets the teaching of Jesus and turns its collective back on the great evil permeating this ole world, things will get worse, not better.

Eventually actions like what happened Friday morning in Sandy Hook will lead to more gun control and fewer freedoms for us all. A society of people who have no self control will be controlled by government.

So pray for the Children of Connecticut and pray for America.

In my opinion, it's too late. How do you put the loss of innocences' genie back in the bottle, you don't. There're too many things wrong with our societies world wide. The only hope exist in starting over again after we annihilate ourselves, and the nuclear winter passes.

Pray for America.

Really Comrade? Well why dont you start praying for America instead of creating topics of your hatred for Obama and America!

Jerry let me apologize for the interruption but to read this hypocrisy coming from this guy is a absolute insult on the integrity of any American.

God be with those families at this time of their needs. But to read where this guy takes a subject to use for his own attention span is absolutely pathetic and a insult to those families of lost loved ones.

Please pray for these families involved in this. It is so sad it could have been any school. I'm afraid if caruthersville does not come up with something it will happen here. People are entering the school at all times of the day and not even checking in at the office. Students at the school are opening doors for people to come into the building which could be very scary. Please Caruthersville let's do something quick to make sure this doesn't happen to our children.

cw, copy and paste about right wing fear of gun control with asking for prayers. That's pathetic

Why not just copy and paste just for prayer

Why always bring up your right wing bs on everything

Can you not think and have opinions of your own

You dare to mention Christ and want prayers for America, and in the same day you start a thread making false accusations and fun of about Hillary Clinton falling and receiving a concussion.

Using this as a bashing point of Obama and gun control is a all time new low for you Comrade. Racist piece of white trash shit.

Morgan Freeman's brilliant take on what happened yesterday

"You want to know why. This may sound cynical, but here's why.

It's because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single *victim* of Columbine? Disturbed
people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. Why a grade school? Why children? Because he'll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody.

CNN's article says that if the body count "holds up", this will rank as the second deadliest shooting behind Virginia Tech, as if statistics somehow make one shooting worse than another. Then they post a video interview of third-graders for all the details of what they saw and heard while the shootings were happening. Fox News has plastered the killer's face on all their reports for hours. Any articles or news stories yet that focus on the victims and ignore the killer's identity? None that I've seen yet. Because they don't sell. So congratulations, sensationalist media, you've just lit the fire for someone to top this and knock off a day care center or a maternity ward next.

You can help by forgetting you ever read this man's name, and remembering the name of at least one victim. You can help by donating to mental health research instead of pointing to gun control as the problem. You can help by turning off the news."

Theses baby were all mostly 6 years old they have not done wrong can you only know the fear they felt that morning??? It is so sad beyond belief ! Makes me want to hug my grown children and my grandchildren and never let them out of my reach! The Adults who were killed were protecting theses children and I feel so bad for their families ! What has happened to this world? I am asking if this young man had a known problem and thoses guns belong to his mother why didn't she have them in a safe place where he had no access to them? People are right it's not guns who kill but people BUT please keep them locked up so these People can't get to them!!! Wouldn't that make more sense?

I couldn’t agree with your sentiments more, guest. God Bless the families who will have to learn to live with this tragedy every day for the rest of their lives. God, give them comfort and understanding.

I’m a believer in the second amendment and Americans right to bear arms. But, as I said in the post above, if people can’t control themselves, then government will do it.

I’m sure this guy’s mother had no idea what her son was capable of doing or she wouldn’t have been so negligent with her weapons and she would have gotten him help. I choose to pray for that family as well. Let this be a lesson to everyone who owns guns and struggles to raise troubled children. Great evil does exist. We must be responsible and do all we can to keep that evil away from our house and away from our kids.

The only way it could be done is to raise taxes to help pay for it and we all know how that will go over.

Also the school involved did have a good security system in place and it still happened. He found a way in. We are all too trusting of people and we all think it can't happen to us.

The mother is reported to be a gun lover. Nothing wrong with owning or having a hobby of gun owning. But the assailant and his mother had a problem with the school and the mother who was a substitute teacher removed her son from the school and home schooled him. We can come up with many theories as to why this happened and we will never know the real truth because the truth died the same day the innocent children suffered at the hand of a troubled child with a mother who should have known better to leave firearms in the access of a child with some problems.

Its not guns that kill people, its people that kill people and if they take guns away from our 2nd amendment what will we have to defend ourselves from people like Adam Lanza?

It all starts at home. I blame the mother for being irresponsible and not fully knowing the emotions her child was suffering. As her being a parent and as a teacher, she should have known.

Yes it did but there was no one allowed in the building after 9:30 except teachers and students. Parents are allowed to come into our school all during the day and also allowed to go on the playground and are inside the school while kids are getting on the bus. The school is going to have to buckle down and take these things seriously. I think the buzzing system that sandy hook had would be a good start. I don't know the answer but some drills or something to make the kids and teachers aware that something like this could happen could also be a start.

LOL ol CW

Anytime he can use a thread for attention, he's all over it with his "holier than thou" act.

Why dont you tell them all the names you have called me CW? Yea tell them about the times you have made obnoxious remarks to 61 Alumni? Or why not come clean and admit the curse word names you have called people in Topix in the same subject your posting your biblical scriptures you never live by?

No, you wont do that will you? Sit there and pretend to be someone your not and fool some of the readers in this forum with your fake act.

To use this story as a attention span is pathetic and a new low for you CW.

Hey Gene, re-read the first post on this thread and try to stick to it.

This thread is not the place for you to voice your “I Hate Comrade” crap. You’ve started several threads that deal with how much you hate comrade, stick to putting your crap on those threads so people can ignore your crap without being put off by your garbage.

Also, using your “Natural Born Killer” handle on this thread was in particularly bad taste, even for a sicko like you.

This is not comrade either, so save your crap reply for someone who gives a hoot, I don’t.

But you say it begins at home maybe it does and as a theroy maybe he told her what he was going to do and she tried to stop him! Look what he did trying to stop him from hurting people. What about the Dad he didn't know there wasn't any problems with him? Can that really be true? It couldn't have just happened that day ?
What is going to happen is every nut will want to carry a gun to protect themselves now from other nuts . My God look at all the killings that will be going on. That is not the answer! There has to be something better.
