Dear Governor Romney,
I’d like to say congratulations on winning the republican nomination. But, I wish you stayed in Massachusetts. You’re plan for America isn’t what we need, and would hurt us more than it would help.

First, repealing Obama care and other health plans he’s put in place have helped families across America, including mine. I live in a middle class family, and two years ago my little sister; Kennedy was denied insurance because of her pre-existing condition. This was a huge emotional stress and financial burden on my entire family. Under Obama Care, insurance companies can no longer deny Kennedy and kids like her, the coverage they need and deserve. Because of Obama care my little sister was able to have the several surgeries she needed that helped save her life. Once the President was elected he put Obama Care into action, just like he promised and made it so that you could get insurance with pre-existing conditions. This has made a direct impact on my family. My family is with out a doubt better off now, than we were four years ago!

It is to my understanding that you stated that you were going to repeal Obama Care, including the part I have mentioned, which will take away the insurance we have and need for my sister Kennedy. Why do you think she doesn’t deserve health care? Also, when you were interviewed on “Meet the Press”, you stated that you would NOT repeal this part of Obama Care, but then your campaign backpedalled and on the “Tonight show with Jay Leno”, you said that you WOULD repeal this.

Also, you’re domestic plans (birth control, gay rights etc.) are horrible! Women should get to manage their own health, and if you wonder why you’re not appealing to many women voters, rethink your birth control and women’s’ rights plans. And people should be able to marry whom they want. We built this country so people could have freedom, and not have religious beliefs control them to that length. This country was in no way built on any religion, so we should not create laws that repress the American people in a religious way and hurt our most vulnerable.

Sincerely,
Jackson Ripley, age 12

Jackson is 12 years old and lives in Colorado.

If a 12 year old can recognize the failure of Romneys plans, why cant the adults in this forum? Because they want Obama out because he is African American. Thats why.

That letter is awfully well written for a 12 year old.

Doug #, you want to see the bigot as you subtly try to claim the reasons "they" want President Obama out of office is race, then go look in the mirror. You're the one drawing race into this.

Why do we want President Obama out? Let's see, he's spent more money in his time in office than all of the presidents before him combined. He forced Obamacare down our throats. He's anti small business. Fast and furious. Not providing proper security to our embassies overseas. He apologizes for our reaction to 9-11. He bows to foreign potentates. Is that enough or do you need more?

John Doe,
Why dont' you just give it up - at this point, you're just beating a dead horse to death! Romney has already lost the election with his latest rant about the 47%!

Ole' Romney didn't have sense enough to realize he was attacking his own base of the Republican party - THE ELDERLY (who are on Social Security & Medicare) and many who don't pay income taxes any more.

Of course, Romney failed to mention that many of these same 47% worked all their lives sometime 50-60 years paying taxes to build this country into what it is today.

And here comes an idiot like Mitt Romney along (who was born with a silver spoon in this mouth & and has had every advantage (the best schools, colleges etc.) trying to shame these hard-working people by saying they refused to take responsibility for their own lives!

AND THIS MAN REALLY EXPECTS PEOPLE TO ELECT HIM PRESIDENT???

This has to be the biggest joke of the century!

You know this is very strange - since all polls say the way over 90% of African Americans will be voting for Obama. Can you tell us just which "black churchs" are saying not to vote for Obama. Can you name just one??????????

Just another Republican lie to add to their long list...

How is exploiting the facts and truths running down Romney? Thats the problem with the GOP today. They want the voters to avoid the facts about their candidate and just vote him in out of spite for the Dems and Obama. Sorry, but this Republican has ahd enough of their smoke screen BS. When they start telling us what the GOP will do instead of telling us how bad the Dems and Obama are, maybe then they might convince the people they are a party of the people for the people. Until that time they will remain the minority party.

Alumni,

You want lies, go follow the Democrats.

Bill Clinton: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz's comments about the Israeli Ambassador saying the policies of the GOP would hurt Israel. The Israeli Ambassador came and said he never said that. Wasserman Schultz reported that she never said it. Then whoa, watch out, the tape came out and there she was saying it.

Al Gore: I invented the Internet.

Fast and Furious and Eric Holder.

Let's forget our latest set of lies from the White House and the State Department about the attack on consulate in Libya and the death of our ambassador with three other Americans was not terrorist related but was because of an obscure video. It was a protest that got out of hand. Yeah right, I always go to protests fully armed with an RPG-7. Don't you?

You want lies, you go to the Democrats

It's very telling you have to go back nearly 20 yrs to come up with a Democrat lie!

Yes, Bill Clinton LIED - but, NO ONE DIED!

When GEORGE BUSH Jr LIED - THOUSANDS DIED!!!

In the case of Debbie Wasserman Schultz's comments about what the Israeli Ambassador said. This seems to be a case of who do you believe - Wasserman or the Ambassador? It's quite possible the Ambassador really did say what Wasserman reported -(about Republican policies hurting Israel)- but backed up and claimed he didn't (to save his butt)!

Al Gore never said he invented the internet! He said that he was instrumental in the invention of the internet. Which is 100% TRUE!!!

Did you not know - that when Gore was a congressman he worked tirelessly to pass programs & secure necessary funding to be able to make the "information superhighway" a reality.

Yes, this was originally a government project - that needed a smart politican to bring it to fruition. The introduction of the internet was a big reason for the boombing economy we enjoyed under the Clinton/Gore administration.

Did you not know that both of the REAL INVENTORS of the internet have given undying credit to Al Gore for making it possible to make the "information superhighway" or internet a reality.

So, the next time you get on your computer to start ranting at me - you can thank Al Gore for making it all possible!(if you do not believe this is true - just look it up on the "internet" yourself).

Now, for the matter of Eric Holder - surely you know he's been completely exhonorated!!! SO IT HAS BEEN PROVEN -ERIC HOLDER DID NOT LIE!!!

I do not believe all the facts have come in on the Libya situation yet. You're as bad as Mitt Romney - you want to shoot first & aim later. You'd think you'd have learned a lesson from what a fool Romney made of himself for the same thing you're doing now.

Here Wacky bat 61 the liberal liar 47 percenter from Rolla Mo. Educate your ignorant dumb ass will you.

Black pastors target Obama

A large coalition of African-American pastors, snubbed by President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder in their demand for a meeting to discuss same-sex marriage, are calling on blacks to boycott the president and sign a petition demanding that the administration withdraw support for gay marriage.

“By embracing gay marriage, President Obama is leading the country down an immoral path,” said Rev. William Owens, president of the 1,300-member Coalition of African-American Pastors.“Some things are bigger than the next election.”

The pastors are angered with Obama’s recent endorsement of gay marriage. Obama did not, however, suggest that he would push for a federal mandate allowing same-sex marriages to take place.

Owens is the voice of a large segment of black pastors who support traditional marriage between a man and a women.“The Black church has always been the conscience of America, and today we are calling on black pastors and black Christians to withhold support from President Obama until he corrects course,” he said.

His group also started a petition to encourage Obama to change his mind. It’s called 100000signatures4marriage.com .

The group also called on the African, Methodist and Episcopal Church to denounce the president actions.

That seems unlikely since the AME Church Convention, which met in Nashville last week, had first lady Michelle Obama speak. In her address, she credited the civil rights advocacy of AME churches for paving a path for a black president.“My husband is in the White House today because of them,” she said.

Still, said Owens,“In the midst of this great moral struggle, we are also asking the great AME Church to reaffirm Biblical views on marriage that is between one man and one woman. The AME Church has not taken a position on this important issue in more than twenty years and it is time to get off the sidelines.”

Their opposition to gay marriage could influence how black churches turn out the vote for Obama.

“We were once proud of President Obama, but our pride has turned to shame,” said Owens.
