Just wondering, if you don't have a license to sell it, can you deliver it for valentines day?

There are different types of license for selling alcohol....liqour by the drink, package liscene ect. Generally you legally must obtain a city, county, and state license. But if a business is delivering alcohol in the form of a Valentine Gift Basket it should not be an issue. Nice way to try and start shit though....Good Job lol

Hope this answers your question.

I want to sell wine by the bottle in gift baskets or maybe just by the bottle as a gift. They will be sold out of MO, and will only constitute about 10% of my sales. I need to know if I need a liquor license to do this and if so, what classification of liquor license will I need. Also if you know all this...How much will this cost?
Yes, you will need a liquor license, but it will depend on if you are selling at a brick and mortar location (you will need a site license) or if you are delivering. I am not certain about delivering but the site location would be very similar to a bar license. I would imagine it would cost a few hundred dollars for the application/processing but will also tax each unit that you sell.

When is a liquor license required?
It is unlawful for any person to manufacture, distribute or sell intoxicating liquor without a state license issued by the state supervisor of the Division Alcohol and Tobacco Control. However, Section 311.055 is an exception, which allows 200 gallons to be manufactured per household, per calendar year if there are two or more persons over 21 years of age in the household, or 100 gallons per calendar year if there is one person over the age of 21 in the household. The products manufactured under the Section 311.055 exception are only for personal and family use.
