They aint doing something right. My farmer friends said the Government is throwing free money at them like crazy , even with record bumper crops.
With record prices and farm welfare checks going out, there shouldn't be any farmer owing any money unless they have a bad CPA.

There are farmers in the area that do not pay their bills prompt as they should. Some go for months on end yet they are driving the newest truck and ect.

There's quite a few around here. And business that don't pay up and will only pay a small amount every month or so. Businesses talk to other businesses and so on so we all pretty much know who has it and who doesn't. Take a look at the people that doesn't pay their taxes come the end if the year. People that seen to have it all doesn't necessarily. They play up as if they have all this money but little does anyone know they have ran up credit cards and collectors after them. I've seen a couple bills mistakenly come to my house over the years that if these certain people would have known they would be embarrassed.

They may be waiting on the government checks to come in before they pay their bills then. Thank God for farmers! We wouldn't have the food & clothes we want & need. And they stimulate the economy buying parts and services.

If it's the family business and they are farming the family grounds & ect what does them being spoiled have anything to do with it? They all are out there working like me. I've grown up pretty spoiled & have been given things people have looked at in a jealous envious way. And will continue to inherit as time goes. Doesn't make me any different than anyone else just because I've been blessed more than others and even less than others have been blessed. Just don't think they aren't out there busting their butt like you and me because I know they wake up everyday and have work to do and priorities to attend to.

Obviously, most of the people commenting on this have no idea what it's like to be a farmer, cause they have the time to comment on this! They bust their butts day in and day out, some working 18+ hours a day! Those with kids sacrifice their time with their families to provide not only for themselves, but everyone who buys groceries! What is so wrong with buying yourself a new truck every now and then? Besides farming is extremely hard on a truck and they don't last forever! The government should be helping farmers, cause without them what would you eat? It's better than all the big bank bailouts! So, you people who take the time to complain about these hard working people, just keep in mind that they don't even have the time, especially during harvest season, to read all your BS!

My husband and I work 40 hours a week at normal non high paying jobs. I am making it my own way. I just know what I am to inherit. If you knew I'm sure you wouldn't like me either! Haha It's not my fault the hand I'm dealt and will be blessed having it pretty good and no doubt continuing to live good.

Hope all of you people have had a good time bashing farmers. Where were you when farmers were losing everything they owned just trying to get by. Where were you when cotton and grain prices were lower than the cost to grow them and they depended on the gov. Subsidies to get by on? We pay taxes and hire people that want to work. This is what we do. Our dad's and our grandfathers did it and now we're doing it. We're not out stealing $420,000 from a business so we can have expensive things. What we have we pay for just like most of you. If you think this is easy then come try it. Buff said.

Any job is easy if you don't know how to do it. These people bashing farmers are just a bunch of malcontented misfits, envious and jealous of anyone that has more than they do.

Farm subsidies may be eliminated in the not too distant future. I may not be around to see it as I am getting rather old. I donít think it should happen, but if it does, I would like to be around to see it. There are a lot of ignorant people that rail against these subsidies, but ignore, or are just ignorant of the enormous amount of other subsidies that cost them much more in tax dollars than farm subsidies, and benefit them much less. I would like to be around to hear what these ignorant people have to say when they will have to spend upwards of 30%-35%, or possibly even more, of their disposable income on basic food requirements; money that is now spent on wants, rather than needs. I believe the future, within the next 10 to 30 years, will bring severe adjustments in the economic structure of this nation and throughout the world. I believe life styles will be changed in ways unimaginable to most of the people in this country today. Changes that are not going to be received with pleasure.

When these changes come to be, these ignorant, malcontented, misfits of society will have to direct their bellyaching to things much more serious than farm subsidies.

I would like to see them boil in their own sauce. Sorry, I just have an extremely low tolerance for the kind of stupidity and ignorance these people display.
