That is not reality. Let me give you reality. I moved the end of Dec and called to get my direct TV installed at the new resident. It could not be done until Jan 26. I asked why and they said tht the receivers had to be ordered and they would be sent to the installers. I asked why they did not already have receivers if they installed the systems all the time. They said they were ordered as people wanted direct tv installed. Guess what, we had an ice storm the day I was to have it installed and when I called they bounced me around and gave me different people to talk to until finally I got in touch with someone and they said the computer would not let them reschedule. This was the toll free number for Direct tv. 1-888-550-3342. Then they gave me the number 1-888-335-7530 and also the number 1-800-519-1823. And guess what I finally got it installed today. The tech just left about an hour ago. And this is Feb 20. So from beginning to end it took me 50 days to get my direct tv and I was a returning customer that they were given a deal to return. And the wiring and the dish were already on the house that I moved into from the last time I lived here. All that had to be done was install the receivers. And the man who hooked it back up was about 5 hours late because he had two jobs to do in Poplar Bluff before he got here. I am not talking bad about the installer, he did an excellent job and was very courteous and knowledgeable. So all this talk about quick service is just that. Talk.

Did you call a local retailer that has their own installers ( which is what we are ) or did you call the DirecTv national number? The DTV national number puts the jobs to a fulfillment company, they charge $19.95 shipping, then wait for it to be shipped, assigned to a company, scheduled by them, etc.

We carry our equipment in stock. Sure, in some instances we might run out of a particular receiver, but it takes us only 2 days to get an order in. But usually, everything is ready to go in stock. We take your order, set the date to install, bring the equipment with us.

Ask anyone who has bought from us...we've NEVER put anyone off 2 weeks...much LESS 2 months!

Sorry about the trouble you had with your install.

Yeah if you can get these folks to install it you will be better off. All I got from the Direct TV people at the national number were a bunch of excuses. I would call this business. Maybe by me sharing my experience with the national people, your business will get a lot of people that do not want to mess with those folks. Good Luck

I have Directv and want to upgrade to HD. They have given me a 5-week wait in order to get this done. Can I have Cadstat do this for me instead of whoever the National DirecTV contracts with? If so, how long will it take and how can I contact Cadstat?

If you want a installer that looks like a homeless person. The tech if you want to call him that showed up in a mud slopped vehicle with 3 teeth did not want to do anything "extra" was upset it was not going to be easy! Well sometimes life is not easy. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE unless you like supporting people who hire idiots

BEWARE! I don't know which company ATT uses for Direct TV packages but don't do it... You are better off going to the main website and signing up there. It was going to be more expensive monthly(plus start up fees), the order was completely messed up and didn't figure out until they didn't show up on install date, that we apparently didn't pass their credit check... We had to call them, no one every called us at all. Then they want a $200 payment that would go torward bills, doesn't sound that bad yet right. Yeah, only $5 of that a month goes torward your bill. It would take 3yrs and 4 months to get your $200. LOL Really? When you're only signing a 2 year contract! Clever scheme on their part I guess. So canceled with them, went to the main Direct TV sight, signed up, got approved, no start up fees and cheaper monthly.... Don't have bad credit, that's what didn't make sense with this other company...

I just quit direct tv.Some reason or other they wanted me to pay my bill the same time every month.I told them that sometimes my money don`t last as long as it does other months.I told them I would pay it as I could. They said they was going to cut me off but I showed them and told them to stickit. They said they would sue me because my contract was still in effect.I told them to go ahead and do it but if I could not pay my bill and watch tv,why would I pay it and not even have tv.They acted stupid to me.Anybody could figure that out.

I ordered last night and was surprised they said the installation would be Sunday, tomorrow. This morning I got a call from this unfamiliar number 800-519-1823 and didn't answer as I'd just sat down to eat. When I found it was DirecTv here I called back and an automated system let me confirm the appointment with a couple of "yes" and "keep it" for answers. Pretty efficient and I hope the tech manages to get here with the 4-8" snow predicted overnight!
