9-year-old Stella girl missing

Her daughter didn't greet her like she normally does Law officers and volunteers spent several hours Sunday searching in vain for a 9-year-old girl who disappeared from her home in Stella late Friday or early Saturday. via Joplin Globe

I think you should put David Spears at the top of the list. He drinks heavily. So of course he sleeps heavy. I pray that the little girl is found safe. IF my daugter or son was missing I would of reported him or her missing immediately.

This happens way too often. I pray she is alright, but why did he leave her alone at night, or anytime for that matter??
Yes, why wasn't she reported missing right away; that doesn't make the mother look good, either.

Marie you are right. Every time I read the news someone else is missing. If this guy is guilty, I just have to ask, and I know you can't always tell but why are these women marrying these jerks??? Her most important job in life is her daughter. To protect her. The last thing she needs to do is marry someone like that. How can any woman who remarries like this can put their children at risk by marrying someone not suitable to be a father is beyond me. I am not trying to be judgmental or specific, just general. I personally could not leave my child with a man that drinks like that, no way. It's always the innocent that suffer.

I didn't even see her on the missing persons website!! Even if they suspect foul play, her name should be there, AND an Amber alert out.

Apparently he borrowed his mother's car after midnight, and was gone for hours. That was after he partied with his friends. I read, too, that there were two of his friends at the house after his wife left for work. Probably partying; who knows who had occasion to hurt the poor girl.
This just makes me irate.

Pray for the little girl and also pray that whoever knows anything is already Burning in Hell. As I do beleve that hell is too good for the person or persons. Too much time and too many people never to open the door to see if she was asleep. Did the old woman that loaned the vehicle has alsheimers or something. I say she knows something. State should make a riling that if there is a missing child that drug and alcohol tests should be ginven immediately following a missing child report. I think that whoever was around that house in the 24 hours before the child was reported missing should be made to have tests.

But it's appears Obvious that this guy and his friend committed foul play probably rape and murder against this poor child. Why else borrow a car in the middle of the night and disappear and then won't tell the police where you where?

I think this jerk sexually assaulted her and then killed her to cover it up. Wasn't his mother suspicious that he left with her car at 1AM and was gone 5 1/2 hours? Is she in on it to cover for him? What the hell is wrong with these people?
I think the mom is genuinly distraught though, but I would have reported her missing that morning!

He did it. He was probably drunk. Raped her. Got scared she would tell so he killed her. Then he called his mommy and she came and lent him her car so he get rid of that poor baby's body. I think she is covering for him.

I'm not blaming her for this happening, as I'm sure she is falling apart, but this crap could be prevented in so many case.

What woman would marry a man that much younger than her and leave him alone with her child. Was she looking for another child herself. I am sure that she is having a lot of hindsight now but that does not change the fact that she is partly to blame. As for the step father and his mother because she knows more than she is saying hanging would be too good for them.

Unbelievable Midwest, a little girl has been brutally murdered and someone has the nerve to post that. People are heartless. I too hope he gets the max punishment. Still won't change anything. Another innocent gone. Hopefully in a better place where no one can hurt her ever again.

There have been some other recent cases where mothers leave their kids in the care of these deadbeat boyfriends or whatnot and they end up dead. How can you stop these women from hooking up with losers?? Sadly this will always happen.

I hope that these guys don't get the death penalty, instead I would hope that they would get life in prision without parole. That way "Big Jess" could make both of them his bitch and give it to them every hour. I want these animials to be beat and sexually abused everyday....I hope they will be abused so much that they wish death would come...but it won't. I want them to suffer for the rest of their lives. I have a 9 year old daughter, at first I wanted to kill them, but then realized that death is too good for them. God will make sure they are punished...
I feel for the mother of this child, it makes me hug mine daughter just a little bit longer each day.
