Hogans Creek or North Carthage oe even East Carthage. All are Missionary Baptist where they believe YOU pray to God until you are saved. 99% of the others will have you repeat something or you talk with there preacher an they will tell you you are saved. Sorry but on judgement day that want get it. There are so good folks at those "talk you throught it churches" but unfortunately there path to salvation only leads to deception. Wherever you choose, remember your prayer an your prayer alone will be what it takes.

Salvation is more then just being rescued from death and placed into life. True Salvation presses believers to make much of Christ through out the world. With that said, I suggest you take out the Missionary, and Baptist titles if you don't practice it's doctrinal position and heritage. I know of you all, and you all are not a part of the Great Commission. Just going through the motions, hitting people with your morality message, and not a Gospel focus on Holiness or Christ.

I charge you to stop with you're fighting among small town religion junk, and make much of Christ not just in Carthage, but throughout the world, it's our mandate by God (Matt 28:19-20).

By the way, a bench is not going to save you, neither is a prayer. Grace Alone, through Faith Alone, To God's Glory Alone (Eph 2:1-10). Jesus Saves!

Sorry Speaking The Truth, I was replying to Mad Hatter.

On the other hand, your comment has a lot of truth to it. I pray you will be able to see the genuine side of Christianity. I'm sorry for the misrepresenters of our faith.

God bless

Never heard anyone in my entire life suggest a bench saves you...however prayer is the only thing that will. Hope you get saved one day.

The Lord my God Jesus Christ loves everyone the one's who do not go to church also, Moses was a murderer and look how he turned out so was pastor Morie Davis where i attend church, but one must realize the pastor is only there to teach the bible from his stand point, what he thinks the word means, attending church is always a positive thing no matter where you go,church is only for people to gather and worship together, alot of people in this community go for the wrong reasons. They attend because someone they know goes there or the president of the bank goes there or many other reasons in which i will not post, all of us are God's children but we continue to judge and do one another wrong in many ways and every way if we do not like or disagree with someone. God works though people and things always happen for a reason, don't worry what church is the best for there is not one there is only your relationship with God and that is all that matters, this life is only a few years long you have eternity to think about with your God , God bless you and your choice for me i choose Corner Stone in Madison in which I am a member now and love it.Your welcome any time. I know it is a long drive for someone in Carthage but think about it do you choose a church cause it is close to where you live? Once i was turned down for a loan at citizen bank cause the loan officer was influenced by another church member at his church not to give me a loan cause my business slowed down this is the kind of thing about Carthage churches i do not like

You're f**king crazy and a title wont save your ass either. Id rather be known as a sinner than a hipocrite and churches are all full of both. Doest the bible say that by "their works" you would reconize his people. Well from what I see, its hard to tell "his people" from the ones who dont profess any religion..Start reforming the so called followers and maybe your shit would be believable.

If Christianity is misrepresented by its own members who are liars, adulters, fornicators and drunkards, why are they allowed to remain in the church? You wouldn’t allow someone to live in your home if they were contaminating and exposing your family to their lifestyle. Why wouldn’t you put them out after warning them that their behavior would not be allowed? Their behavior not only endangers others who may think its ok to do as they do but it gives the church a bad name for tolerating or condoning it. There are no moral standards to live up to in the church. Anything is acceptable as long as you support the church. Its is a turn off to anyone that sees what really going on behind its doors. Sinners like me dont see a need to be a hypocrite and go in the first place. I believe Jesus saves, he saved a sinner that was died alongside him, but does he save sinners that are hypocrites, if so then why go to church in the first place?

Your argument proves that we need a Savior. The Christian life is impossible, but through Christ all things are possible. Could it be that the ones who you are talking about is not genuine Christians? Paul talks about false converts in Gal 5. Maybe you have not experience a church that truly loves people. I dont have the words to convince you on anything, but i do know that Christ is coming back for His church (bride). Do not give up on it. Praying for you!

Don’t pray for me. I’m not deceiving myself or anyone. I said it already, I’d rather be known as a sinner than a hypocrite. Pray for the hypocrites IN THE CHURCH. They are right there in the midst of the so called Christians and yet are no better than those who wont step foot in the door. God knows their hearts and their deception and he will hold them and those who are over the congregations responsible for allowing it. It boils down to churches having no spiritual standards so as to appeal to anyone just as long as they go to support the church.
